Botkiller weapons are a special classification of items. They are signature Stock weapons for each class with a robotic Heavy's head with team-colored eyes bound to the weapon with various belts, chains and wires depending on the weapon. Botkiller weapons were added to the game with the Mann vs. Machine update on August 15, 2012 Patch.
To earn a Botkiller weapon, you have to beat a Tour of Duty (6 missions, two on each MvM map), and at the end you are guaranteed that one of the robot hats, miscs or weapons will drop. Each Tour of Duty will require the player to use 6 Tour of Duty Tickets (1 Ticket per mission). Weapons will always be in strange variant, and most likely to be silver. The gold variety is much rarer.
All of the Botkiller weapons are Jiggleboned so each weapon will be slightly unique; Heavies, Pyros, Demomen, Soldiers, Snipers, and Scouts' robotic Heavy head will sway left and right according to the direction the player turns. As for the Engineers and Spies weapons the mouth of the robotic Heavy head will open and close while the player looks left, right, up, or down.
