Should this page have trivia? This is the same mask they used to model the Combine in Half-Life, another game made by Valve. ? ErnieTheGreatest (talk)
- It's similar, but certainly not the same. The author explicitly stated on the contribution page that the similarity to Combine masks was unintentional. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 15:23, 22 June 2013 (PDT)
@Cooper Kid (sorry I dunno how to reply) but isn't the final one an edit of an intentional Combine mask? If it isn't, I think it's rather weird how he would choose a PMG mask. I guess it is a popular mask! — The preceding unsigned comment was added by ErnieTheGreatest (talk) • (contribs) 00:14, 23 June 2013
Also a mair is some sort of sheriff/official. That HAS to be a reference to the metrocops. Why else would it be called Mair Mask? ErnieTheGreatest (talk) 18:41, 22 June 2013 (PDT)
- Take a look at the contribution page - Svld (the author) says that it was not intentionally modelled on a Combine mask. It was also submitted under the name "Hazeguard". Valve chose to call it the "Mair Mask". Until someone from Valve can confirm that it was intentionally a reference to the Combine, the trivia can't be added to the page. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 15:53, 23 June 2013 (PDT)
Submitted name has nothing to do with this. It's a popular mask, I guess. I know it wasn't intentional but that doesnt mean it isn't the same mask they modeled. Just because it was not intended doesn't mean it shouldn't be trivia. The only difference is the tank. Do what you want. I wont bother screwing things up like last time. ErnieTheGreatest (talk) 01:17, 27 July 2013 (PDT)
- Your argument makes no sense at all - trivia is based solely on what is intended, otherwise the wiki would be chock-full of pointless similarities between items. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 14:14, 27 July 2013 (PDT)
No gonna lie there's gotta be exceptions to that. Despite the PMG mask fitting the setting of the game, I still think VALVe added it for Half-Life thingies. Like I said earlier do what you want. I'm out. ErnieTheGreatest (talk) 22:08, 27 July 2013 (PDT)
Bodygroup bugs?
I was editing my load out the other day when I noticed I could equip the Mair Mask with the Ornament Armament this results in Mair Masks chest tank clipping with the grenades. Should a bug be added stating that the Mair Mask does not replace the proper equip regions? TheNoobThatWas (talk) 07:47, 22 August 2013 (PDT)
