:I'm sorta new at this, but under the current definition "Covering is an effect that can be applied by certain weapons", one could argue that Bleeding, Burning/Afterburn, the marked for death sign, or even the healing particles from overheal could be considered 'covering' as all of them are considered an 'applied effect', personally, Soaked works, but Drenched might be a better way of defining what happens to you. :::Thanks for the support, seriously. I only brought this up for two reasons: bumping a discussion that hadn't been concluded, and the Bleeding Effect has the same animation as the 'soaked/drenched' effect, save colour. And they're obviously distinguished from each other. I wasn't going to go off changing anything because I don't know the standards here. I'm hesitant to make changes, so for now I'll offer an opinion when it's appropriate. And I'm looking for a mentor to figure out stuff here. Since the last discussion was made a few years ago, an identical article has since cropped up over at [[Soaked]]. It's less awkward sounding and any differing content between the two articles can be consolidated easily. Once this one is disposed of it can be made into a redirect for [[Soaked|soaked]] , so there's no real sense in having two articles for the same exact topic. Article name

This is an awkward name, should be moved. Any ideas on a better name? User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 03:36, 7 June 2013 (PDT)

How about "Wet" or "Liquid"? kreafan (talk) 03:42, 7 June 2013 (PDT)

I suggest the name "soaked". Toomai Glittershine 21:16, 17 August 2013 (PDT)

"Liquid Effects"? "Status Effects" and expand to include mark for death? Darkid (Talk|Contribs) 09:00, 21 August 2013 (PDT)
Agree on Status effect, so I can remove the Water coating image and make this page no stub anymore. User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig.png Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 09:31, 21 August 2013 (PDT)
"Water-coated" is a status with an effect vs the neon anihilator. Darkid (Talk|Contribs) 09:51, 21 August 2013 (PDT)
Anyway, if change to Status Effect, this article will easier to edit. User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig.png Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 09:57, 21 August 2013 (PDT)
"Status effect" is far too broad; it would have to cover not only the "soaked" effects, but afterburn, critboost, whip speed, healing aura, uber-state, and a bunch of other stuff that already has either its own page or section on a page. Toomai Glittershine 14:31, 21 August 2013 (PDT)
I've no problem with creating a broad page--we have pages like Environmental death, for example--brief summaries of a variety of topics. However, if you've got a better idea, I'm all ears. Darkid (Talk|Contribs) 20:39, 21 August 2013 (PDT)

Hey first edit to a discussion is a great start! Get involved!
I'm still fond of the page 'status effects' or possibly 'negative status effects'. Darkid (Talk | Contribs) 15:37, 25 April 2014 (PDT)
Thanks for the support, seriously. Noble VI (talk) 15:46, 25 April 2014 (PDT)

Merge

Since the last discussion was made a few years ago, an identical article has since cropped up over at Soaked. It's less awkward sounding and any differing content between the two articles can be consolidated easily. Once this one is disposed of it can be made into a redirect for soaked , so there's no real sense in having two articles for the same exact topic. ~Sven~ (talk) 17:26, 27 March 2016 (PDT)
