Fallen Engineer Weapons
Want to confirm that any dropped Engineer weapon grants the metal held by the Engineer prior to his death.
From personal experience, I've only had such luck when picking up an Engineer's Wrench or Toolbox. Magic Magician 15:54, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Merge this page with the "Buildings" page
I don't see much point in metal having it's own page when it's more or less a function solely for the purpose of buildings. Valoon (talk) 18:17, 7 May 2014 (PDT)Valoon
Doesn't mention fallen weapons from non-Engies
In the Ammo Sources section, the only mention of fallen weapons is here:
"; Dropped items
- Fallen weapon from an Engineer (including toolbox): Amount equal to the Engineer's Metal at the time of death, with a minimum of 5 Metal.
- If the toolbox contained a building being hauled, always 200 Metal.
- The Heavy's lunchbox items provide health instead of metal.
- Fallen weapons from a Spy feigning death with the Dead Ringer will not provide any metal."
Don't normal dropped weapons, e.g. a flamethrower, provide 100 metal each? ⇒ Anyar (talk/contributions/giveaway) 07:56, 13 March 2017 (PDT)
Needs update?
According to Wrench's patch notes, in the Gun Mettle update this happened:
"Building repair costs increased from 20 metal to 33 metal to repair 100hp per Wrench hit (from 5HP per metal to 3HP per metal)."
So Ammo may need updating.
