The X-Flinguisher is an unlockable primary weapon for the Scout. It is a stolen school-standard fire extinguisher with the handle broken off and scratches everywhere.
It, like the Flying Guillotine and Mad Milk, is a weapon that can be thrown at enemies in an arc. Enemies hit with the weapon are dealt heavy damage. However, the main source of power for the weapon is its ability to explode. The projectile can be fired at with any of the Scout's Pistols while in midair or while on the ground when no enemies have been hit; in midair it will explode upon contact with a surface/enemy, on the ground it will simply explode on the stop. The X-Flinguisher's explosions, in addition to dealing damage, cloud the surrounding area with heavy smoke and foam. Any enemies unfortunate to cross paths with the explosion will have their screens completely blinded with opaque foam, allowing them to only see their HUD. Though the foam rids itself bit by bit within 14 seconds, every 300 units moved while blinded will speed up the process by 1 second, encouraging victims to try to run around to blow the foam off. The wielder of these fire extinguishers is to beware of their own explosions, as they themselves can be blinded and dealt self-damage.
Because the only way to create the tank explosions is with another slot-conflicting Pistol, the X-Flinguisher should only be used in conjunction with the Prohibition Paperboy to allow two secondary weapons to be equipped at the same time. Also, care must be taken in leading the projectile when throwing, as it has 25% less velocity compared to Mad Milk or the Flying Guillotine.
