Documentation for Trans

Use {{trans}} on pages that have not been fully translated yet. It will display the above notice and categorize the page correctly so uncompleted translations can be managed.

{{trans}} automatically detects the language of the page and will display the correct name and categorize the page correctly by default.

"{{trans|Italian|English}}" is no longer needed, just {{trans}} at the top of the page will suffice.

Usage

  • {{Trans}} when used on Soldier/ru will place the above notice and put the page in Category:Translating into Russian
  • If, for example, you need to place the notice on a page that doesn't use a lang subpage, like a draft version in the user space, you can force a particular language using the parameter lang:
{{Trans|lang=de}} will place the same notice and put the page in Category:Translating into German.
^ This is not needed on article pages. Just place {{trans}} at the top of the page and the message will automatically change.
