- The description references the fact that the AWP is commonly banned in Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source servers.
- The weapon's name is a play on the phrase "upper hand", referencing the advantage in Counter-Strike games that AWP users have, due to its immense stopping power.
- The weapon is incorrectly referred to as an AWP. Due to its green body, it would either be an AWM (Arctic Warfare Magnum) or a normal AW. AWP (Arctic Warfare Police) models have a black body.
