Brass Beast?
This page states it CAN be used, but I'm pretty sure it CAN'T. Any confirmations on this? Benvil 13:58, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
Community Medieval Mode strategy
Since medieval mode changes the balances of class completely, it should either have its own strategy page, or have a medieval section in each of the class' strategy page. I recommend a separate page for medieval due to each class have 2 strategy page (community and class match-up), makign it tedious to modify. Jestersage 18:49, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
- Agree. -Object404 19:49, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
- Agree. This page is going to be a mess if community "strategy" is added. It should be its own page as this article should only contain basic information on the mode itself. - Vlad The Impaler 00:57, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
Agree.Sammyboy0120 23:03, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
I agree with you too. If someone starts this page, I'll gladly help out.--Magnum Force-Enforcer 17:37, 28 February 2012 (PST)
Created Page
Somebody get the ball rolling and actually add stuff of substance, I don't know how this stuff works. Bonzi77 03:02, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
Special Stuff
- Certain weapons cannot be used
- Capping doesn't add more time
- When a player is killed, a health kit is dropped rather a weapon. Since metal can't really be used
- Map specific? - Bag pipes play on certain events IE win/lose or main gate open

- Chat is changed to sound medeval.

For all classes except sniper and medic, melee only. Sniper may use huntsman and medic may use the crossbow. Demoman can use the charge targe.
-benjaminbigelow
- Well no. Scout can use mad milk and bonks. the soldier can use either banner, and the spy has the desguise kit. -= M-NINJA =- 03:39, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
Capitalization of the "M" in "Mode"?
Shouldn't this page be at Medieval mode, with a lowercase "M" in "Mode"? There's "Birthday mode" and "Training mode", for example. I had moved it there yesterday, but it was reverted back. --Pseudo 20:08, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
- My bad, I'll revert. Shock394 17:38, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Bugs in medieval mode
On some servers (I have confirmed it is only on some servers), a spy on the BLU team is able to disguise with the disguise kit even when "Your Eternal Reward" is equipped. It does not work for RED team, and the user will still disguise on a successful backstab, as well as being able to disguise before stabbing anyone. Correct me if it is a console command or a config setting. Quantumkayos 19:16, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
No Medic Uber
- Because the medic can't use his medigun, he can't use an Ubercharge. For that reason, isn't it kind of pointless to mention that the Ubersaw cant build uber? --Stevoisiak 19:57, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- Well, the goal of the Wiki is to incorporate as much knowledge on TF2 as possible, so even the pettiest of information can still be useful. Triscuitable 18:01, 27 June 2011 (PDT)
RJackson's web chat parser
Should this get a mention at all on the page? It seems sort of relevant, but I'm unsure about it.
Razorback vs Danger Shield
One thing that isn't mentioned is that a fully-charged Huntsman arrow should bring a Razorback Sniper to very low HP (or possibly kill him at closer ranges) and the afterburn should kill him in moments, so the Danger Shield can be used even for the Snipers that "focus on using the Huntsman" for more HP to give you more time to run for a health pack/Medic/cabinet.
Another thing is that in RED, if you don't jump down, you don't need to worry about Spies until the gate opens, so you should have the Danger Shield in that time. Tiomasta 02:22, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
Parser Rules
So, discussion on how to format the parser, e.g. alphabetical. I had put in a table before, but it got removed. So what should we put the parser replacements and appendings as? Also, @ Strange Quirk, when Medieval mode is on, then the server owner/administrator can set tf_medieval_autorp to 0 to turn off the chat parser. Tested. -FlaminSarge 18:28, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
Jarate
They should allow Jarate. They have allowed the Mad Milk, which functions the same as Jarate. It would be better if they allowed it. Jarate could also help you and your teammates from the burning arrows. Mardamien24 10:43, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- Steam Forums are over here. -- Mechlord 10:47, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
thanks for reminding me Mardamien24 04:08, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
Do you think it's worth noting in the main article anyway? Guybrush20X6 08:44, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
- Not really, the Jarate page shows whether it can be used in Medieval mode in the infobox. GeminiViRiS Talk Contribs 08:46, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Bug
"Item set effects are still applied even if the set contains disallowed weapons." Shouldn't that be mentioned as a bug? -Because even on a normal server WITH a whitelist against the set-items you also get the bonus effects, of the set. So it's not intended and shouldn't be a gameplay mechanic. So it would be under a bug section better, correct? NoWhereMan(DSvY) "Ich machen liebe Lannnnng" 04:44, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
- I think so — Wind 19:09, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Force the parser?
Is it possible to force the parser on a server without having the midevil mode enabled. Chat parser but no weapon restrictions? Tryer 21:07, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
- This isn't the place for discussions, try the Team Fortress 2 Forum instead. - Cooper Kid (Blether)·(Contreebs) 00:51, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- Actually Cooper Kid, although this could better belong somewhere else, I think this is kind of a reasonable thing to ask as it shows information on a page not be on the correct page (this time it is though), Sometimes it is easier to answer a question, then to shoo them away. Anyways Tryer, if you checked on the page you would see that it says the command is "tf_medieval_autorp 1" I believe that should work on any map. - nixshadow • t|c 00:58, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- Well, tf_medieval_thirdperson only works if Medieval mode is enabled, so I would assume that the same is true of tf_medieval_autorp. Haven't tested it though.Morrivar

Splendid Screen
Apparently it doesn't work in Medieval. What the hell Valve Blackbird 23:46, 25 June 2011 (PDT)
Maybe it'll be added eventually, maybe not. Most of the new Demo items were straight upgrades in Medieval mode, so perhaps it's for game balance that they're not allowed. --Cooper Kid (Blether · Contreebs) 15:14, 26 June 2011 (PDT)
- The Concheror wasn't initially available in Medieval mode either. It was added to the game the tenth of March, but was only allowed in medieval Mode from 25th of March onward. So like Cooperkid said, it may be added at a later point. Valve just is a bit slow with these kind of things. No guarantees though. -- Hefaistus - talk 15:20, 26 June 2011 (PDT)
Meet the Medic
When this taunt is used in Medieval Mode, the medic, not having access to his medigun, will instead taunt with whichever weapon he has, causing clipping if equipped. Should this be mentioned in the article? Dr. Blutengott 18:14, 25 July 2011 (PDT)
Why do you think they allowed Gunboats?
Why do you think they allowed Gunboats? My theory is that it count as clothing or that it gives you a bigger challenge (only one weapon).--Bigbangbilly 15:29, 22 September 2011 (PDT)

The chat filter information
It seems a bit vulgar. As we all probably know, some small children play this game. Although it's more than likely they have encountered worse words with other humans, seeing "Fucker" on the chat filter chart might not be the best. TheCupcakeLord
- Remember to sign your name with four tildes. Anyway, it appears on Sniper references, Engineer references, and Pyro references. And small children aren't supposed to play this game (see the M on the box?). The chart's fine. Tabs 01:50, 17 December 2011 (PST)
Bugs section
Currently in the bugs section it states that Genuine Flying Guillotines cannot be used in medieval mode, but I own a genuine one, and I have always been able to use it. Should I (or somebody else) make an edit and correct it? I am new to this wiki (and any wiki for that matter) so sorry if I have done something wrong, I'm only trying to help. Medieval Sentry
I found an old file that appears to be an unused sentry gun that may have been intended to be used in Medieval Mode. Should I post images under unused content? TheNoobThatWas (talk) 16:41, 19 July 2013 (PDT)
- Like last time I said, can you upload that + tell the directory that you found it. Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 17:44, 19 July 2013 (PDT)
Possible Scroll Use ??
Hello, I have been thinking for a while about what the scroll was for. It is possible it could have been a decoration, BUT I really think it could have been the flag for a medieval CTF mode that was scrapped due to balance reasons. That is a massive load off my mind :) 123katty • talk (talk) 02:57, 12 January 2014 (PST)
