I think we should. It's a wiki, and people may like to know even the tiny details and specifics of certain items. Also, the vaccinators HUD was shown too. Maybe that is a bit too unrelated, though, but I think it should be added. [[User:Unysn|Unysn]] ([[User talk:Unysn|talk]]) 06:10, 25 December 2013 (PST)

== Meters appearing slightly off-screen ==
 +
Mad Milk/Sandman/Buff Banner Charge meters always appear off the side of my screen. In fact, it's been doing this since the Scout update when the Sandman was released. I'm specifically talking about the white meter which represents the ball recharge on a Sandman Scout or the Rage level of a Soldier using Buff Banner. Demoman's charge meter for all his secondary items (sticky launcher/chargin targe/splendid screen) is unaffected. Righteous Bison, Pomson, and Cow Mangler ammo capacity meters are all unaffected. I never saw anyone else complaining about this problem and I've never been able to find a fix. I'd like to know if anyone ever had this problem, a fix to this problem, or if it's worth listing in the Bugs section on this page in order to direct those interested to a quick and proper solution. This is how playing Scout with Mad Milk looks to me: http://i.imgur.com/hKr69.png

== Possible off-screen meters fix ==

I too have run into the meters off screen for the scout, and I've found a solution that works for the scout, but I can't confirm if it will work with any other meters (although the theory is sound). Open up team fortress 2 content.gcf and navigate to the tf/resource/ui folder. Look for the files labeled HudItemEffectMeter_(item/class).res (the end of the name will have either the class or item that it affects). Extract the file of choice (for the scout it's HudItemEffectMeter_Scout.res) to the same folder in your tf2 directory (tf/resource/ui) and open it with a txt editor. In the very first entry, you'll see xpos, ypos, xpos_minmode, and ypos_minmode. The one that is putting the meter offscreen is xpos (for the regular hud) and/or xpos_minmode (if you're using hud_minmode 1). The default for minmode is r12. For my resolution (1680x1050) I changed it to r55 and the meter is back where it needs to be.

I think we should. It's a wiki, and people may like to know even the tiny details and specifics of certain items. Also, the vaccinators HUD was shown too. Maybe that is a bit too unrelated, though, but I think it should be added. Unysn (talk) 06:10, 25 December 2013 (PST)

Restart Game to get new HuD?

Just to clarify. Couldn't players use the "hud_reloadscheme" command when they're installing a new hud rather than restarting the game? --Leftism 22:40, 24 September 2010 (UTC)

True, but some HUDs modify other scheme res files (like "SourceScheme.res" and "ClientScheme.res") and it seems that the command doesn't seem to reload these, so font sizes and colours look weird. But I guess adding a note about that command wouldn't do any harm seb26 [talk] 22:47, 24 September 2010 (UTC)

I broke your stupid crap, moron!

I think I broke the Scoreboard last night. At one stage, it told me I had 4000 Points and 1647 Kills, then when I checked again, I had only 144 Points, but 1887 kills. I checked one last time a bit later on, and I had 8 kills, but 313 Points. I took 3 different screenshots to illustrate my point. I wasn't able to get an exact number when the scoreboard breaks, but I think it should be looked into. Yes I'm Dominating you. GET USED TO IT[UGS 2nd]Lancer @nti-tank RocketYes I'm Dominating you. Incorrectly colored HUD

There's no 'bugs' section, but maybe one would be appropriate. It has happened more than once that, even though I'm on BLU, my HUD is set to be red colored except for the character shown on the lower left corner, next to the health meter. I have (low resolution) screenshots showing it. Anyone else ever experienced that? Is it to be included? Adreadline 22:31, 3 September 2011 (PDT)

Quick Question

I see this page has not yet updated the sniper HUDs to include the 'Focus' Meter on the Hitman's Heatmaker. Do you think something should be added? The preceding unsigned comment was added by Flying1123 (talk) • (contribs) 07:07, 4 July 2012

Remove 'Popular custom HUDs' section

Seems subject to personal gain. If a user wants a custom HUD, they wouldn't come to the Wiki, they'd Google it. I feel the section is useless and contrary to a Wiki's mantra. – Smashman (talk) 08:51, 15 August 2012 (PDT)

Dead Hud Links

Tranky Mixture Hud and M0re Hud links ( in the 'Popular custom HUDs' section) are dead and don't seem to be updated anywhere else.

Perhaps they should be removed ?

Steampipe HUD installation

Need to add a section on installing HUDs when you're using the Steampipe system instead of the older system.
