Matchmaking may refer to:
- Casual Mode, official matchmaking mode that replaced Quickplay after the Meet Your Match Update
- Competitive Mode, official matchmaking mode, based around the guidelines already being used in Competitive Play.
Note: Causal Mode and Competitive Mode are not game modes, rather they are matchmaking modes selectable from the main menu for joining matches of various game modes on Valve Servers with alternate means of tracking and displaying player performance when playing through those Servers in those modes. Other matchmaking modes Valve provides include MvM matchmaking, training, joining Community servers, and creating servers.
