The Russian Rubdown is a community-created special taunt for the Heavy.

When activated, the Heavy will switch to his primary weapon and make a short noise while stepping back with the gun, proceeding to kneel down on the ground, take out a large cloth, and polish the barrel of the weapon, as well as the ammo drum, on occasion. Upon finishing the taunt, Heavy will put away his cloth and stand back up, switching back to the weapon the player was using beforehand.

The Russian Rubdown was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Update history

December 5, 2022 Patch (Smissmas 2022)

  • The Russian Rubdown was added to the game.

Bugs

  • Being forcibly locked to melee weapons, either by eating the Buffalo Steak Sandvich or by playing in Medieval Mode, prevents the taunt from being able to switch to the player's currently equipped primary weapon. Activating the taunt in these states will perform it with the player's melee weapon instead.[1][2]
