The Close Quarters Cover is a community-created cosmetic item for the Soldier. It removes the Soldier's default helmet and gives him a brown mullet with sideburns, as well as a green, camouflaged bandana that he wears over his eyes.
This item has four styles, named "Caution (Paint Bandana)", "Caution (Paint Hair)", "Alert", and "Evasion". The "Caution (Paint Bandana)" style applies paint to the bandana, the "Caution (Paint Hair)" style applies paint to the hair and sideburns, the "Alert" style only gives him the hair and sideburns, and the "Evasion" only gives him the bandana.
The Close Quarters Cover was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

This item has very little effect on its appearance when its styles are changed between "Caution (Paint Bandana)" and "Caution (Paint Hair)" unless painted. Australium Gold paint is used here with the first two styles for demonstration purposes.

- This item is based on the bandana and hairstyle worn by the characters Solid Snake and Naked Snake from the Metal Gear franchise.[1]
