Categorise and license all uploads

Image files must be placed in at least one category and they must have licensing information attached.

  • Category:Images contains every existing image category for use. If an appropriate category does not exist, create it!
  • After reading Team Fortress Wiki:Licensing images, if you still aren't sure what license applies to this image, select "I don't know what the license for this file is."

Be aware of cache issues

Due to problems with the server-side caching system, new versions of images will not be displayed for up to several days.

Be sure when overwriting an image that the image has not already been updated and you have viewed the latest version.

Images uploaded exclusively for user pages have special requirements

To keep track of images intended to be used solely on your user page, you should help out by:

  • Prefixing the destination filename with User_ and your Wiki username, followed by a meaningful suffix.
    • Example: User_WikiUsername_favouriteloadout.png
  • Adding the file to the User images category by entering [[Category:User images]] in the upload summary.
  • Files that don't follow this naming scheme may be deleted without warning.
