While the Gloves of Running Urgently are the active weapon, the Heavy moves 30% faster at 99.67% of the base movement [[speed]], or 299 [[Hammer unit]]s per second (roughly 20.4 km/h or 12.7 mph). However, each time the gloves are deployed, the user's max health is instantly lowered by 20 and then further drained while the weapon is active at a rate of -10 health per second. The user's max health does not decay below 100. Holstering the weapon allows the user's max health to begin regenerating at the same rate. As this occurs, the user's current health changes in a way that keeps their health percentage constant; a Heavy at half health remains at half health no matter how this weapon modifies his max health (aside from rounding errors). The user's max [[overheal]] is also reduced when deployed, remaining at 150% of the user's current max health and 125% when using the [[Quick-Fix]].

Ooohhhh, run, run, I'm coming for you!
The Heavy running urgently to the front-lines

The Gloves of Running Urgently (G.R.U.) are a melee weapon for the Heavy. They are a pair of large, padded, team-colored boxing gloves, similar in appearance to the Killing Gloves of Boxing, with flame decals and orange rings around the cuffs.

While the Gloves of Running Urgently are the active weapon, the Heavy moves 30% faster at 99.67% of the base movement speed, or 299 Hammer units per second (roughly 20.4 km/h or 12.7 mph). The user's max overheal is also reduced when deployed, remaining at 150% of the user's current max health and 125% when using the Quick-Fix.

As with the Fists, and most of the Heavy's other melee weapons, primary fire swings the left fist, secondary fire swings the right fist, and the Critical hit animation is always a right-handed uppercut.

The kill icon for the G.R.U. was contributed by flutterravie.
