The Railgun is a weapon in the classic Team Fortress games used only by the Engineer.

Accurate and somehow deadly

  • It fires a medium-power and perfectly accurate laser every time the fire key is pressed or if the fire key is held down.
  • It uses one nail per shot and does not need to be reloaded.
  • In QWTF, its fire can pierce walls.
  • It deals 23 damage per hit, more than a full single-barreled Shotgun blast.

Downsides

Although this weapons is a perfect way of conserving the Engineer's other weapons' ammunition, it has a low ammo reserve and low rate of fire.

Trivia

The old 3rd person model uses the Half-Life Glock 17 model.
