The Engineer recommending a new FOV

Field of View or FOV refers to the angle of the player's view. The range of value that Team Fortress 2 supports in normal game settings is from 75 to 90, representing an angle of degrees. A smaller FOV restricts vision of the space to the left and right of the player, and instead focuses on what is in front of them. On the other hand, a wider field of view will allow the player to see more of what is around them, which can prevent flanking.

FOV also changes depending on aspect ratio, up to 106 degrees on fov_desired 90 on 16:9.
