+ | ==About the Cremator's Conscience Trivia==
+ | |||
+ | Hello. About the Trivia in the Cremator's Conscience - what I meant was that the item in itself has the ability to be painted (You can try it out for yourself in Itemtest), Valve has yet to make it officially paintable. If yo'd like to put that in th Trivia ourself or would rather I do it, I don;t mind. Also, congratulations on the Wiki Cap. Spam90675 06:14, 21 October 2011 (PDT)

+ | : I didn't know it was on the Sandman page also. I'll go remove it from there, as we decided awhile back in irc that we weren't sure enough that it was a bug, so we weren't going to list it. Balladofwindfishes 09:05, 14 February 2012 (PST)

+ | == Fast Learner styles ==
+ | |||
+ | About the Fast Learner styles - I do not see any differences in-game between either styles, and since the second style is supposed to be for paint being more for lack of a better term "Pure", I believe that undoing my edit showing the difference between the two styles when painted is unnecessary; if you can find proof in-game or from the creator(s) that the style isn't just for paint to be "purer" than I'd like to see it, but until then I believe my edit will be fine. Same goes to anyone else who wants to undo it - the Fast Learner isn't painted as soon as you get it, so unless Primrose or Twilight Sparkle or whoever else made it explain what the second style is for besides making the paint "purer" I think my edit will be fine, if not better than the unpainted styles. Spam90675 05:30, 23 March 2012 (PDT)
+ | : I agree that we should probably show painted variants, as it better shows the style off, but we show the defaults for now (like on the Tosselcap) if the paint style effects the original colors. And for the Fast Learner it does subtly effect the colors (it has to, the base color is just added as a paint value). I think someone else (probably the FL page) there should probably be a discussion about what to show. Policy and precedent vs actual practicality. + | "The styles for the Texas Half-Pants have no names; instead, the default item schema strings are used." < You posted that. I dont share your opinion to note that as a bug. It is forgotten content. But we don't know for sure if Valve has yet a name for it or will come up for one, so it is a bit speculation. I hope we can stay the way that it is not a bug, but forgotten content, but this is a speculation itself. TheDoctor 06:48, 18 April 2012 (PDT)
+ | : There is a precedent for it being considered a bug, we've listed this exact thing as a bug before on the Backwards Ballcap. Balladofwindfishes 06:53, 18 April 2012 (PDT)

+ | == Liquor Locker Trivia ==
+ | |||
+ | I noticed you removed the trivia I put (the links to pirates). Just wondering why that isn't considered trivia. Taser9001 06:42, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
+ | : Just to point out that I am not meaning to be rude, I just want to improve as a wiki editor. Taser9001 06:47, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
+ | :: It wasn't really relevant to the page. Demoman isn't a pirate, so the link to pirate items is irrelevant. It's not rude to ask why something was removed, I probably should have made a better edit summary. Balladofwindfishes 06:48, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
+ | :: Okay. It wasn't meant to say Demoman was a pirate, just that the chest has links to pirates. Especially with that map sticking out of it and the references to fortunes and treasure in description. I perhaps should have been more clear. Taser9001 06:50, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
+ | ::: The point is that this isn't a pirate wiki - anything not directly describing the item isn't relevant. We don't have the history of World War II on the Lucky Shot article, for example. 06:53, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
+ | :::: Fair enough. Though if I were to argue against that, then I would say that it isn't a book wiki, but the Fruit Shoot mentions William Tell in its trivia. Thought this would work the same way. Taser9001 06:57, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
+ | ::::: The difference there is that the Fruit Shoot is a direct, detailed, reference to the William Tell story. The Liquor Locker is just pirate-themed. 07:01, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
+ | :::::: Hence why I put the pirate trivia in the first place. :/ Again, not meaning to seem rude, just trying to explain. Taser9001 07:06, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
+ | ::::::: That's fine, I don't mind explaining and I'm sure ballad is happy for us to use his page. A good rule of thumb to follow is that "X-themed = trivia about X is not relevant", whereas "X-direct-reference = brief trivia about X is relevant". 07:13, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
+ | :::::::: So saying that it is the kind of chest associated with pirates is not relevant whereas say on the Hound Dog, saying who actually wrote Hound Dog and recorded it originally is relevant for example? Hoping it's relevant. XD Taser9001 07:17, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
+ | ::::::::: I personally consider that a good example, yes. 07:18, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
+ | :::::::::: Okay, thanks. I will try to keep it relevant then. Taser9001 07:20, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
+ | ::::::::::: With the Hound Dog, the item is named the same as the song of a person who has the same hair as that hair. It's a distinct reference, and it also helps the creator had that reference in mind. With the locker, it might be a pirate chest, or it might be the chest of a traveling merchant, or just some non-specific loot. It doesn't have a strong pirate reference, as a treasure chest is not really specific to pirates, and the name and description don't really mention pirates either. Balladofwindfishes 07:24, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
+ | :::::::::::: Oh,. that makes sense now. Well, I am willing to learn. Thanks guys. :D You may want to review my Flipped Trilby and Carouser's Capotain trivia just to double check. :/ Taser9001 07:26, 12 June 2012 (PDT)

About the Cremator's Conscience Trivia
Hello.
- Ah, alright. I had a suspicion that was what you were trying to say, so I'll add it back in with the proper wording and area. Balladofwindfishes 11:00, 21 October 2011 (PDT)
Thanks for the congratz
Hey, just wanna thank you for the warm words and congratz! I'll put up a list of people that congratulated me later, and those who nominated me, and post them onto my "Thanks To" Userpage. You can check back later if you want. Thanks again mate. · T-Wayne · Talk 12:33, 5 December 2011 (PST)
Wrap Assassin bug undo
I saw the same bug on the sandman page, only reversed so i thought i'd add it to that page. I'm sure you know what you're doing though XD | Bojjob 08:40, 14 February 2012 (PST)
- I didn't know it was on the Sandman page also. I'll go remove it from there, as we decided awhile back in irc that we weren't sure enough that it was a bug, so we weren't going to list it. Balladofwindfishes 09:05, 14 February 2012 (PST)
- Fair enough, thanks for letting me know | Bojjob 09:46, 14 February 2012 (PST)
Fast Learner styles
About the Fast Learner styles - I do not see any differences in-game between either styles, and since the second style is supposed to be for paint being more for lack of a better term "Pure", I believe that undoing my edit showing the difference between the two styles when painted is unnecessary; if you can find proof in-game or from the creator(s) that the style isn't just for paint to be "purer" than I'd like to see it, but until then I believe my edit will be fine.
- I agree that we should probably show painted variants, as it better shows the style off, but we show the defaults for now (like on the Tosselcap) if the paint style effects the original colors. And for the Fast Learner it does subtly effect the colors (it has to, the base color is just added as a paint value). I think someone else (probably the FL page) there should probably be a discussion about what to show. Policy and precedent vs actual practicality. Balladofwindfishes 05:33, 23 March 2012 (PDT)
- Fair enough. Spam90675 10:08, 23 March 2012 (PDT)

Undo/Redo Bugs/No-Bug
"The styles for the Texas Half-Pants have no names; instead, the default item schema strings are used." < You posted that.
- There is a precedent for it being considered a bug, we've listed this exact thing as a bug before on the Backwards Ballcap. Balladofwindfishes 06:53, 18 April 2012 (PDT)
- Doesn't make it more right if it was done another time not correct. As it is now, there is no knowledge if it was:
a.) Forgoten
b.) no name yet
c.) both
If the wiki has a way of handling it that way, i dont object. But i dont think it is a bug. And in the chat we could talk better. TheDoctor 06:55, 18 April 2012 (PDT)

weta workshop items
Why have u deleted my correction? 1st - u replaced right text it was added to workshop after adding to the game with wrong it was contributed to the game via workshop. 2nd - the placement of this is not a big deal so you might just move my adiitionals to the start of the page but not cancel.
So i undid your cancellation. Plz move them up of article if you want but do not delete or cancel. -askarmuk, C? 09:38, 1 May 2012 (PDT)
Liquor Locker Trivia
I noticed you removed the trivia I put (the links to pirates). Just wondering why that isn't considered trivia. Taser9001 06:42, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
- Just to point out that I am not meaning to be rude, I just want to improve as a wiki editor. Taser9001 06:47, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
- It wasn't really relevant to the page. Demoman isn't a pirate, so the link to pirate items is irrelevant. It's not rude to ask why something was removed, I probably should have made a better edit summary. Balladofwindfishes 06:48, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
- Okay. It wasn't meant to say Demoman was a pirate, just that the chest has links to pirates. Especially with that map sticking out of it and the references to fortunes and treasure in description. I perhaps should have been more clear. Taser9001 06:50, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
- The point is that this isn't a pirate wiki - anything not directly describing the item isn't relevant. We don't have the history of World War II on the Lucky Shot article, for example. 06:53, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
- Fair enough. Though if I were to argue against that, then I would say that it isn't a book wiki, but the Fruit Shoot mentions William Tell in its trivia. Thought this would work the same way. Taser9001 06:57, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
- The difference there is that the Fruit Shoot is a direct, detailed, reference to the William Tell story. The Liquor Locker is just pirate-themed. 07:01, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
- Hence why I put the pirate trivia in the first place. :/ Again, not meaning to seem rude, just trying to explain. Taser9001 07:06, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
- That's fine, I don't mind explaining and I'm sure ballad is happy for us to use his page. A good rule of thumb to follow is that "X-themed = trivia about X is not relevant", whereas "X-direct-reference = brief trivia about X is relevant". 07:13, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
- So saying that it is the kind of chest associated with pirates is not relevant whereas say on the Hound Dog, saying who actually wrote Hound Dog and recorded it originally is relevant for example? Hoping it's relevant. XD Taser9001 07:17, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
- I personally consider that a good example, yes. 07:18, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
- Okay, thanks. I will try to keep it relevant then. Taser9001 07:20, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
- With the Hound Dog, the item is named the same as the song of a person who has the same hair as that hair.
- Oh,. that makes sense now. Well, I am willing to learn. Thanks guys. :D You may want to review my Flipped Trilby and Carouser's Capotain trivia just to double check. :/ Taser9001 07:26, 12 June 2012 (PDT)
- Let me know what you think as well. Also, can we perhaps move this conversation over to my page? I wouldn't want to fill Ballad's entire talk page up. Taser9001 07:40, 12 June 2012 (PDT)

Unarmed Combat
Can you upload image of the e-mail about Valve'll fix Unarmed Combat? Hinaomi 15:03, 22 June 2012 (PDT)
- Is this going to be on the page? Because I never really got permission either way if it could be made public. Balladofwindfishes 15:05, 22 June 2012 (PDT)
- Yep, on the page. But ask the Valve employee that e-mail with you about permission to public it first. If he said don't public, don't upload. If he said yes, let upload it. Hinaomi 15:12, 22 June 2012 (PDT)
New Item Sets
Should we not be including those on the pages? Joshduman 22:38, 29 June 2012 (PDT)
Hello. Please also check these new blueprints added by user:R4wrz0rz0r. --Genuine GAL 01:47, 30 June 2012 (PDT)
- They should not be included on pages as they don't exist. It's fine if they're in the dictionary though, I don't think that necessarily puts it on pages, and so it'll be there should Valve ever want to make them into sets. Balladofwindfishes 06:22, 30 June 2012 (PDT)

Should I remove about cylinder never spin? Hinaomi (talk) - (contributions) 22:04, 25 July 2012 (PDT)
- If none of them spin, yes. Do any of them spin? Balladofwindfishes 08:04, 26 July 2012 (PDT)
- Nope, all of them never spin. Also, should I remove about the empty casings of spent bullets are not removed too? Hinaomi (talk) - (contributions) 08:13, 26 July 2012 (PDT)
- Yea. The thing with these "bugs" is because no weapon does it, we can't be sure it's actually a bug, rather than a design choice. Where something like the rocket launchers or lugermorph, because other weapons reload rockets/magazines, we know it's a bug (or at least an oversight worth mentioning). question
Hello. I wanna ask about this edit. Do you mean a fully completed Tour of Duty or just a completed mission? --askarmuk, C? 05:35, 7 September 2012 (PDT)
- At the end of a tour, you get a random item and a botkiller. It used to be this random item had a level equal to your tour number, so I completed my first tour and got a level 1 Short Circuit. They fixed this, items won from a tour no longer have the level of the tour. Balladofwindfishes 05:41, 7 September 2012 (PDT)

I recall your Community Schema proposal (along with many others), but wasn't it added in TF2 Beta the 22nd of October patch?--Kid Of The Century 03:43, 24 October 2012 (PDT)

Teufort Tooth-Kickers added to drop
Sorry to bring back a very old point, but on March 3, 2012, you updated the tooth kickers to say they were drop-able. However, there was no item schema update on that day, (See git.optf2) instead on the 28th and 23rd. (although neither mentioned the tooth kickers). What evidence did you have that they were drop-able? Darkid (|) 10:57, 8 December 2013 (PST)
- Actually, after checking the schema, I don't see these dropping at all. Darkid (|) 11:33, 8 December 2013 (PST)
- The item drop system isn't recorded in the schema. We have nothing to go by for what drops other than reports and the first reported drop of the item came after that day.
