Shouldn't it be titled Scream Fortress VII?
That seems to be the official name for the update. VinLAURiA (talk) 18:49, 28 October 2015 (PDT)
- The wiki names the Scream Fortress updates after their year, just like Smissmas. --Dr. Scaphandre (talk) 18:50, 28 October 2015 (PDT)

Is the "death by disco" effect an Undertale promo?
I'm asking because on a video I've seen, it explains that death by disco is based off of undertale. And he was going to use the skeleton from the effect as a sprite in an undertale x TF2 fangame called "Overtime", (Great AU by the way). Although the sprite wasn't added, the effect was still referenced. Now I'm gathering my information, and based on what I know about the effect, and Undertale. I'd say that the taunt is most likely named after one of Undertale's songs, "Death by glamour". And the two skeletons could be referencing either both Sans and Papyrus, or just Papyrus. Considering the design of the sprites, the fact that they're sprites in general, and the fact that they're both skeletons. Anyway that's my opinion, don't judge me if I'm wrong.

- To answer the question at hand: no it is not. A promo includes some direct connection to the game it is 'promoting' (ex. You get an item for buying a game) and since you didn't need Undertale in the first place to get a hat with the effect, it can only be considered a reference/piece of trivia at best. If anyone else hasn't done so, you can write the story of the effect as a trivia point on the Unusual page, but that is really all it concerns.
