:"If you have a friendly Pyro do self damage using the Scorch Shot or the Detonator and hold the Manmelter's alt-fire, this will grant the player one point. This occurs due to the self damage of the Detonator or Scorch Shot being fire damage, therefore you are extinguishing the friendly Pyro every time they hurt themself. :: I would not put a Sentry Gun there or any similar location: The Sentry Gun needs a line of site from its centerline to the target's hit box; then enemy player just has to see the Sentry Gun's hitbox, which is hanging out all over the place. I could destroy that sentry from all the way down the sewer. As a Soldier main, I keep an eye out for just such Sentry Gun placements. There are countless locations on the maps where you can place a Sentry Gun where there is not enough room for it to hide. Basically, if you can see any piece of it you can hit it; but if it's center can not see you, it will not even try to shoot at you. Try placing your Sentry Gun at any deeper corner with it's center blocked by the wall but its hitbox hanging out where the enemy.  Mikado282 (talk) 02:15, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

This is not a placement I would use either. As with bugs, its mearly a demonstration of an issue that would happen if you placed it there. Sweet and simple.

: Definitely not a bug. It is in the design of the Sentry Gun that it can be hit with bullets and rockets from edging players that it can not hit given that the hitbox is much wider than it centerline of fire. Definitely not a map fault for the same reason; if I can see a corner of a Sentry Gun, I can always hit it and destroy without it hitting me at all. This location is so bad for a Sentry Gun because the depth of the inset is just enough to block the Sentry Gun's line of fire, but still leaving over a third of the hitbox exposed. Lots of maps have locations like that. Maybe find a place for it under Community Engineer strategy or Community 2Fort strategy. Manmelter Bug

Hey Alex, I saw your bug you posted on the Manmelter page and wanted to talk to you about it as it seemed questionable.

First off, could you explain to me what the bug exactly is, because the wording you posted on the page was confusing. --User Dr. Scaphandre Golden Ghastly Gibus.png Dr. Scaphandre Item icon Captain Space Mann.png 08:56, 20 November 2015 (PST)

I'm sorry if this is the incorrect method of responding to your message. I'm new to the site and I had a bit of trouble understanding how to do this.
Regarding my edit on the Manmelter page, please excuse my lack of explanation. I would not consider this a bug myself, but did not know what to categorize this under. Here is a better explanation of what i was trying to say-
"If you have a friendly Pyro do self damage using the Scorch Shot or the Detonator and hold the Manmelter's alt-fire, this will grant the player one point. This occurs due to the self damage of the Detonator or Scorch Shot being fire damage, therefore you are extinguishing the friendly Pyro every time they hurt themself. Using this method, you can get infinite points, but not criticals with the Manmelter." --AlexH898 (talk) 06:34, 23 November 2015 (PST)
So all it does is get points. Yeah I don't think that's big enough to warrant being in the page.
Since you're new I recommend reading the style guide when it comes to bugs. --User Dr. Scaphandre Golden Ghastly Gibus.png Dr. Scaphandre 06:41, 23 November 2015 (PST)
Ok, thank you for letting me know this. AlexH898 (talk) 06:48, 23 November 2015 (PST)

Not really a bug spot.

File:Bug spot.jpeg: Not really a bug, just a corner not deep enough to hide the Sentry Gun and a bad place to put one. This can happen at any corner. Just because you can see a part of the Sentry Gun, that doesn't mean that it can see you. Mikado282 (talk) 22:35, 25 February 2018 (UTC)

Have you tried it yourself? The sentry literally cannot see you when it should. Sounds like a bug spot to me. Or atleast a map fault
I would not put a Sentry Gun there or any similar location: The Sentry Gun needs a line of site from its centerline to the target's hit box; then enemy player just has to see the Sentry Gun's hitbox, which is hanging out all over the place.

Definitely not a bug. MIKADO282 oOOOOo oo oo 03:11, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
