:"as well" is the pseudo-same as "and", the only difference is the emphasis (I knew they were the same, but I went to [http://english.stackexchange.com/questions/184456/as-well-instead-of-and here] to learn the difference; just now, that is).  "And" emphasizes both were important, while "as well" emphasizes the first noun to be more important.  For me, especially since it is an user box, I wouldn't care.  Both the aftershock (and pre-shock) of pages not loading (periodically) and the wiki being completely down, stirred up the community.  I would say that "and" would be more appropriate.

Grammar

Shouldn't it be

"This user survived the Great Wiki Blackout of 2017, as well as its aftershock."

Leaderboard class spy.png Anyar (talk/contributions/giveaway) 05:28, 21 March 2017 (PDT)

"as well" is the pseudo-same as "and", the only difference is the emphasis (I knew they were the same, but I went to here to learn the difference; just now, that is).
