Grammar
Shouldn't it be
"This user survived the Great Wiki Blackout of 2017, as well as its aftershock."

- "as well" is the pseudo-same as "and", the only difference is the emphasis (I knew they were the same, but I went to here to learn the difference; just now, that is). "And" emphasizes both were important, while "as well" emphasizes the first noun to be more important. For me, especially since it is an user box, I wouldn't care. Both the aftershock (and pre-shock) of pages not loading (periodically) and the wiki being completely down, stirred up the community. I would say that "and" would be more appropriate.
