The Knife is a weapon in the Classic Team Fortress games. It is a melee weapon only used by the Spy. It has a unique ability, Backstab, which will instantly kill a target if it hits the target's back. A backstab is indicated by a unique animation where the player thrusts the knife instead of swiping with it. Otherwise, it behaves exactly like the Crowbar.
