== Should the MvM upgrades that are categorized as "Unused" show that they're used in MvM? ==
 +
 +
I know that the "Unused" means that they are currently unused on a base weapon. However, the "unused" also applies for attributes that are in Mann vs Machine upgrades, such as "thermal_thruster_air_launch" or "bidirectional_teleport". I was wondering if the table would be updated to show that. Thanks.

What does this page do?

Anyone know what this page does? It is very confusing. Perhaps someone should add a description for it at the top. MR SLIN 20:50, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

It's a list of all the working attributes in the items_game.txt file. Shock394 20:31, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Translation

So, how are the located lists for translations coming up? And is there any way we translators can help? GianAwesome 19:26, 29 June 2011 (PDT)

I'm glad you ask. I was actually going to change this to a Template with translation switching. User M-NINJA Signature.png 19:28, 29 June 2011 (PDT)
I should note that I'm working on generating localized attributes for this page. So translation efforts should be focused only on the header and footer, not the list itself. -- Lagg Backpack Stickybomb Launcher.png 10:21, 30 June 2011 (PDT)

Update?

I have no idea how to update a table like that, but I want you guys to know that a lot of those attributes won't be needing the "hidden/unused" Note. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Aquarionus (talk) • (contribs) 01:28, 19 January 2012

Updated the whole template!

I just updated the whole template, all translated strings are added to the description field, and all attributes are in now.
Of course I didn't updated this manually, I used this script I wrote for doing this. — Robin0van0der0vliet (talk | contributions) - 12:09, 6 November 2012 (PST)

Value types

I think that the types are questionable. "Inverted percentage"? That's not even a mathematically agreed upon term. "Or"? WTF is OR? I know what it means, but most people won't. Then there is all the "additive" ones that aren't adding at all.

"Inverted percentage" isn't inverted at all. It, like the other mult_* attributes, acts as a multiplier. The real difference is that the multiplied attribute is bad for the player.

"Or" really sets a bit in a bitmask. Which happens to be done by using bitwise or.

Where do these labels even come from?

--Henke37 08:50, 13 January 2013 (PST)

These value type names are the ones Valve uses in the item schema.
Inverted percentage just means that the value displayed is (1.0 - x) * 100. So, if I have a value of 0.9 for fire rate penalty, it displays "10% slower firing speed." Likewise, percent just means that the value displayed is x - 1.0, so clip bonus size of 1.10 displays as "+10% clip size".
Incidentally, I don't think anyone has actually updated the actual attribute list in years, seeing as how the last attributes listed are for Halloween 2012 event.

TF2 Outpost is Dead

Since optf2.com is dead, all the links to the attributes on this page are dead too. Is there an alternative site to look at attributes used for weapons? If so, now is the time to update them.

Should the MvM upgrades that are categorized as "Unused" show that they're used in MvM?

A Funny Thing A Found

So attribute 415 is counts_as_assister, and the description on what it does says 'counts as assister is some kind of pet this update is going to be awesome'. That's pretty cool. OpalA (talk) 01:25, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
