The Control Point on this map is unique in that it elevates and lowers and a ghost train goes through it each time it does this. The Control Point area of the map is very open and wide so escaping after a successful backstab could prove to be a challenge.

Map Overview
Megalo overview.png

This article is about Community Megalo strategy.

Note: It is recommended to read the main Megalo article first to become familiar with the names of key map locations used in this article.

General Strategy (All Classes)

See also: Community King of the Hill strategy

The point of the map is to capture the Control Point. However, whenever it is captured, the point will rise or fall, and a ghost train will appear. This train scares anyone near it, so a good way to take advantage of it is to attack players who are scared.

Class-specific strategy

Leaderboard class scout.png Scout

Scout's role is to run fast, capture, and pick off important enemies. It's no different here. A good Scout will try to kill any enemies nearing the point. Good weapons for this strategy have a lot of pushback, as the point has many hazards.

This map has a very open and wide Control Point, use rocket jumping to your advantage to get across the point quickly and stop enemies trying to cap or defend it. However you should be careful if you see a Sniper lining up their shot at you.

Setting up a nest in the overlook area before the point can help maintain your team's offensive close to the objective. The room full of windows is a good spot to build a Teleporter Exit and Dispenser, as it's sheltered, and very close to the front. Make sure to set up a Sentry at the top of the staircase balcony overlooking the path to the point as well, as it can help repel enemy pushes towards your nest.

Leaderboard class medic.png Medic

Leaderboard class sniper.png Sniper

This map's Control Point area is very open and wide, use your long sight-lines to make necessary picks off targets who are defending or looking to make a push to capture the point.

Leaderboard class spy.png Spy

The Control Point on this map is unique in that it elevates and lowers and a ghost train goes through it each time it does this. The Spy can be useful for taking advantage of enemies dodging the ghost train, if you can predict which side they will turn to dodge you could have an easier time getting behind them and then backstabbing them. The Control Point area of the map is very open and wide so escaping after a successful backstab could prove to be a challenge.
