Additional kill taunt name
In addition to the other kill taunts, the Scorch Shot's kill taunt name is simply listed as "Scorch shot". I think I'll move everything, similarly to the other kill taunts, to the most official name we have for it. Unless the taunt is name directly mentioned somewhere.

Issues with the Class taunts pages
The first issue is how long they're getting, both when viewing and when editing. This can be minimized, in my opinion, by transferring the voice lines and associated sound effects of special taunts from those pages to the respective taunt pages and leaving only short descriptions of the animations. Would this create an inconsistency with the weapon taunts, which would keep the voice lines and sound effects? Yes, it would, but considering we have taunts with long descriptions like the Burstchester and the Dueling Banjo, I think it's worth it.
The second issue is finding the taunts when viewing the pages - specially when starting from the articles for all-class special taunts, which just say "For the voice lines and animations of each class, please refer to the respective class taunts pages" with a generic link to Taunts#Taunts by class and leave the reader to their luck when finding that taunt among the other 6 to 24 special taunts.
Although the class taunts pages have anchors for each kill and special taunt, these are currently unused as far as I know. I've created a template that would use them to properly link readers to that taunt in the desired class' taunts page, which can be found here, but it's still a project page and has not been "officialized".
One solution would be making each special taunt a subsection of the section it can be found in. This, however, would create some very long TOCs while we're trying to shorten these articles (the Scout alone has 14 unique special taunts + 24 special taunts + the Neck Snap).
One thing we could steal borrow from the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages is horizontal TOCs, like the one seen on this page or the one seen on this page (which I prefer).

- With how there is a constant stream of new taunts coming in, it's fine to change how they are treated compared to weapon taunts. I'd be for adding the voice lines and such to the individual articles instead. Finding taunts is (imo) solved by just ctrl + f. I'm not sure I follow the second request, though. We can just use anchors and a semicolon to mimic headers without them being on the TOC.

- I'm not a fan of making readers depend on a function of their web browser (Ctrl + F) that they might not know exists in order to find something when we can have that something in the TOC, but if we transfer the voice lines and sound effects to the individual taunt articles, adding the taunts to the TOC might simply not be needed. As for the semicolon to mimic headers, I think that would be a bit redundant if we're counting on readers using Ctrl + F to find the taunts since each taunt box already has the "Associated item(s)" column that names the taunt. - BrazilianNut (talk) 17:21, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- It's an incredibly common feature for finding things in many, many programs. It's as universally recognised as ctrl + c, ctrl + v imo. I do think we should improve the article, but I also think that ctrl + f is a shortcut that almost everyone knows about.
