+ | I found some misinformation that is present on all flare gun pages(scorch shot, detonator, manmelter and this one). It says that it has a passive reload and on the manmelter page it says one of the upsides is no need to reload. This is not true, because all flare guns actually have a bottomless clip just like the minigun but a really slow rate of fire. | ||

A bug listing states: "If you switch to the Degreaser right after having shot a flare, the Flare Gun won't be able to shoot immediately. It takes as much time as it would take to reload the Flare Gun, though no animation whatsoever is played during this span of time." I may be misunderstanding what is being said, but in my experience the bug refers to the Degreaser not being able to fire for a brief period of time following the switch, not the flaregun. Unnecessairy blueprints
Did not get a respond on the Crafting Talk Page, so I'll try it here: Why is the Token + Token + Scrap blueprint 'unnecesaariy' while it is for weapons that have multiple? Kazzymodus 15:11, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- Because we only list them on weapons that have a specific blueprint, where you can use the token blueprint because it saves weapons. It is not necessary to list them on every single weapons page because ALL of them can be crafted using the tokens method, so it's redundant. —Moussekateer·talk 15:27, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- Then why does Your Eternal Reward have one?? Kazzymodus 21:24, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- I thought I'd explained why. YER has a blueprint. The blueprint using tokens uses less weapons, so we showed that blueprint to allow the reader to make the better choice. It is not needed on all weapon pages because all (non-promo) weapons can be crafted from the tokens blueprint, so the recipe is redundant because they can just look at the crafting article. —Moussekateer·talk 22:00, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
- What is this I don't even about the Token Blueprint for the YER costing less (8) then the reclaimed blueprint (7)? And by the way, I'm only posting Token Blueprints that are limited to one weapon (Wrangler, Flaregun, Kritzkrieg and Frontier Justice). Kazzymodus 17:02, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- The current consensus seems to be that we only need token blueprints for weapons where it is a more viable option. Of course, it could also be for those weapon not unlockable through achievements. So we probably do not need token blueprints for those examples you provided?--Focusknock 19:41, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- True, but achievement weapons are sole and getting those specific weapons through the drop system is rare, so why not? And once again, why does YER have a token blueprint if it is not more viable than the reclaimed one? Kazzymodus 15:20, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Flare Gun Jump
Has anyone heard anything about an alt-fire Flare gun jump? I've had a few people coming to me saying it's being implemented. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, does anyone ahve a source on where this idea is coming from?--MEDUNN 12:41, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- The jump is only for the Beta weapon the Detonator. The regular Flare Gun remains unchanged.--Focusknock 15:51, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for the clarification. So just to be clear Valve hasn't announced any changes to the standard Flare gun and the reports of it being modified are false?--MEDUNN 16:05, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- That is correct.--Focusknock 16:07, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Because the Flare Gun reloads even if I switch weapons is it possible to shot faster by double quick swiching if I have the Degreaser equiped? User 101 18:06, 15 April 2012 (PDT)
- I don't know, but this would be something worth testing. — Xenak (Talk|Contribs) 18:09, 15 April 2012 (PDT)
- I believe the time between shots is the same as the time it takes to play the reload animation anyway, so switching weapons quicker shouldn't make a difference. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 03:40, 16 April 2012 (PDT)

The front-top view image is bugged, the end of the barrel appears completely white (lightning issue, I asume). Kazzymodus 12:25, 23 June 2012 (PDT)
- It's not bugged; it just so happens that at that angle the edge is reflecting the light directly towards you. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 13:55, 23 June 2012 (PDT)
Some misinformation I found
I found some misinformation that is present on all flare gun pages(scorch shot, detonator, manmelter and this one). It says that it has a passive reload and on the manmelter page it says one of the upsides is no need to reload. This is not true, because all flare guns actually have a bottomless clip just like the minigun but a really slow rate of fire.
