Should the whole Vintage Lugermorph business be added in the notes of the Sam & Max Lugermorph? If so, here's a sentence that could be added: "These Lugermorphs became Vintage when the Poker Night at the Inventory items were added to the game in the November 19, 2010 Patch" Nizar 07:57, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

The "Used by", "Type", "Released", and "Notes" columns in the templates all have information that can be found in the articles for the items. The "Notes" column is specially problematic, as community events that grant unique rewards still happen, making it so translations need to be constantly added - the result is a lot of text in English in this article's translations.

Should they also end up here? Or is this strictly for the promotional items. Examples being the Cheater's Lament and golden wrench. Now that there are so many promotional items with varying states of obtainability, should we consider adding another column to each table row which indicates whether or not a particular item is still obtainable? Example values would be "No", "Craft (Non-Genuine only)", "Purchase (Non-Genuine only)", "Achievement", etc. Noibn 14:53, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Currently, in the "Active" section of the promotional item list, it is stated in that the three NECA Action Figures "...has not been released by NECA or Valve.".
I've already tried to discuss this on the talk:Magnanimous Monarch page, but no-one's really given me any feedback.

I think it takes some of the meaning out of the Japan Charity Bundle items being charitable if they are listed as being "promotional" - this associates them with marketing and advertising, which isn't the point of them at all. I suggest making a new section for Charity items, seeing as there are enough of them to merit a new section. Does anyone else support this? If not, then at the very least the description on the Promotional items page should be altered to accommodate charity items as well.

Moreover, I have not found any proof that these action figures were even announced or in production.
I found something very interesting a short while ago. I had purchased a 4 Pack of Monday Night Combat back during the promotional period. One of the guys in on the split bailed so I was stuck with an extra copy. I found that when I gifted it to another player through Steam, the user still got the promotional items, even though the promotion had long since ended! I vote for this section to be removed altogether; first because these figures were not even released, no need to have them in the "Active" section. Secondly, there is no proof that they are in production in the first place (Unless there is and I missed something).
Move article to Promotional item? I think singular is better than plural for an article title, would look neater. SilverHammer 00:43, 8 July 2011 (PDT)

: This is a somewhat unique situation. It's true that NECA hasn't announced production of the BLU Series 4 figures, as far as I am aware. But since they are documented in the item schema, and are definitely the intended promotional items for the remaining NECA figures, I don't think they should be removed from the page entirely; I would recommend moving them to an "unreleased items" section, below the expired ones, the same way I handled tournament medals that were defined in the schema, but went unused, as their events passed without a way to obtain them. — 09:44, 31 October 2023 (UTC)

Strangely I didn't receive any promotional items for Bioshock Infinite itself however, and I can't confirm whether buying the season pass alone would grant these items. Simplifying the templates

I think this should only be done for medals, personally, maybe make a separate charity, tournament, and event participation section so they're all still grouped together.

NECA Action Figures

Currently, in the "Active" section of the promotional item list, it is stated in that the three NECA Action Figures "...has not been released by NECA or Valve.".

Moreover, I have not found any proof that these action figures were even announced or in production.

I vote for this section to be removed altogether; first because these figures were not even released, no need to have them in the "Active" section. Secondly, there is no proof that they are in production in the first place (Unless there is and I missed something).
