Show Preview

Hello, I've been watching over your editings on the Recent Change feed, and I noticed your multiple editing of the same trivia. Please be awared that just right to Save Page there's a button named "Show Preview" it allows you to see what you've done without saving it on the server, so you can correct your mistakes without spamming the RC feed. Yes, I apologize, normally I don't make such petty mistakes like the ones I did (inverted link tag, misspelling) so it's almost become habit to assume it's correct. That ok, there's no problem. First the Show Preview warning is pretty common everyone have it at one point, it's just with the flood of new users, we react faster than usual. In second you aren't ban somehow, I think you just mixed up the deletion on your user page with a ban (it's my fault in fact because at first I had written this section on your user page instead of your talk, so to correct the mistake, I ask for a deletetion, it wasn't that bad knowing you still haven't created your user page, which could be a good idea too). So you can still continue to contribute to the Wiki any way you can (furthermore I don't have the power to ban someone). Thank you for understanding. Tturbo 13:56, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Can't tell you how relieved I am to know I'm not banned, I thought you had me confused with a different type of person. I've worked on about 2 other wikis before, but the set up was a little different than this, so I'm still trying to sort everything out, hence me confusing deletion with ban. Templates in the User space

There's no need to put 'Template:' there, it's one of the things that really gets my goat. The 'Template:' signifys the Template name space and you remove the need for that by having it in the User space. When you do the usual template code, you don't use the 'Template:' but when it's in the User name space you do need the 'User:' but you plain just don't need a Template: bit at all. I see what you're saying, I split it into templates for convenience on my part, as it makes it easier for me to see the different sections of my page, and also aids when editing a certain part. If you'd look at this page, which documents when you added the Demopan in, you can see that you did in fact copy over the {{Featured article}} tag. You got some HTML issues, son

Yeah I know :(. Unfortunatly, those are issues with the <!DOCTYPE> and xml things, both of which I have no control over. The wiki uses it's own html to display the page (which includes the <!DOCTYPE> etc.) and then takes the content you put in the userpage edit box and plonks that in the <body> field. So technically the portion of the final displayed wiki page that I wrote has no errors, but the portions that the wiki adds in are wrong D: MogDog66 10:04, 19 December 2011 (PST)

I will when it's pushed to a more final version. Due to the nature of the page, it is constantly changing. The images need to be able to be updated fairly often if I need to change their style, or add some padding inside the image. If I uploaded all 9 images to the wiki, I'd have to spam 9 RC updates into the log every time I update the images, and even then I couldn't be sure that they would even be right, as I can't edit the imgur link and see what it looks like in show preview.
