Was it confirmed? It doesn't seem likely, seeing as the spycicle only prevents ignition, and doesn't actually block fire damage. It's still possible to kill a spycicle spy with the base damage of a flamethrower (rather than the afterburn), so why would it be impossible to kill one with Hadouken? —BobMathrotus (talk) 05:48, 19 July 2012 (PDT)

Since this taunt is a multi-slot taunt (due to the Hot Hand being able to perform this taunt), how can we say its in both the secondary and melee slots? Dio-ZX (talk) 08:55, 11 November 2017 (PST)

should this line be changed?

In the non-PC versions of the game, no taunts do damage, so I was wondering if this "Thus, it only deals damage in the PC version of the game." is a bit unnesercary, or should somehow be reworded. Maybe it would be better just to add "The taunt animation exists in the 360 and PS3 versions of the game but does not cause any damage. " which is featured on both the "showdown" and "fencing" taunt pages, whilst maintaining the bit about it being the first actual kill taunt alongside it. Scatmanjohn 17:16, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

afterburn

The current comment on afterburn (trivia stating that the hadouken's afterburn shows a different kill icon) is kind of vague. How does one deal afterburn on a 500-damage attack? I tooled around and found over in the Hadouken section of the Pyro strategy page that "At the very edge of the taunt's range, enemies will not take damage, but will be set on fire instead." I would add this to the hadouken page for clarity, but I've never actually heard of it before. Is this true? ::Scurve User scurve monkey sm.gif:: 02:59, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

As for dealing afterburn on a 500-damage attack: it's a fire attack, and all fire attacks cause afterburn whether the target survives or not. And since the Battalion's Backup can cause an overhealed Heavy to survive the taunt, it's possible for the afterburn to be the killer. Your second question I don't know. Shouldn't it be "kamehame-ha"?

This surely must have been discussed many times before, but the pyro clearly says a muffled "kamehame-ha!". What's the view on this? Is hadouken used because it's more well-known? Fred 13:38, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

The sounds are actually stitched together from other Pyro vocals (pain sound and "go right"), so there's no way of knowing what exactly Pyro says. Hadouken is synonymous in pop-culture with hand fireballs, anyway. i-ghost 13:52, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
It could be argued that the kamehameha is just as if not more popular with it. Hell, DBZ is 7th or 8th franchise with the most video games, only behind sonic, mario and such. DBZ has many times more google searches, etc.
I suggest the article title and all links to it be renamed "Hadouken/Kamehameha". Or at least add a trivia mentioning the kamehameha. Jabberwock xeno 10:50, 26 June 2011 (PDT)
I'd change it myself, but thats a rather large edit, and I don't want to do something that may cause controversery. Jabberwock xeno 15:15, 30 June 2011 (PDT)
When Valve updates it, they refer to it as Hadouken. It's one of the few taunt kills in the game that actually has an official name. Balladofwindfishes 15:18, 30 June 2011 (PDT)

Point Blank Damage

I think Point Blank Damage doesn't 500 point, because It must around 489 - 512 point (After a few test) But can someone check for sure How many point is minimal and maximum damage point of Hadouken Taunt. Killicon black rose.png Hinaomi 11:10, 12 March 2012 (PDT)

After testing for a few minutes, this is the highest amount of damage I could give. Here. I'll keep testing to see if it goes higher. ~Sven 11:35, 12 March 2012 (PDT)
Quick addendum here; the absolute highest I've managed is 572 damage given. I didn't get a screenshot of it, but I have one of 571 damage in case it needs to be validated. ~Sven 11:41, 12 March 2012 (PDT)
Disable damage spread and critical hits and then do it. Otherwise you're wasting your time. – fashnek (talk·c) 11:48, 12 March 2012 (PDT)
 • cough* After doing THAT, after testing it in a trial of 25 kills, the only damage done was 500 damage.~Sven 12:44, 12 March 2012 (PDT)
Thanks for every answer. Killicon black rose.png Hinaomi 17:45, 12 March 2012 (PDT)

Spycicle trivia?

Was it confirmed? It doesn't seem likely, seeing as the spycicle only prevents ignition, and doesn't actually block fire damage. It's still possible to kill a spycicle spy with the base damage of a flamethrower (rather than the afterburn), so why would it be impossible to kill one with Hadouken? —BobMathrotus (talk) 05:48, 19 July 2012 (PDT)
