When editing Spy pages, keep in mind that the weapon name is "L'Etranger", not "the L'Etranger". The L and apostrophe are a French equivalent of  "the". So, writing "the L'Etranger" is the same as writing "the the Etranger". Sorry for the nitpick, but being fluent in French, this is an error that often frustrates me. --[[User:Szthesquid|Szthesquid]] 19:10, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Spelling/Grammar note

When editing Spy pages, keep in mind that the weapon name is "L'Etranger", not "the L'Etranger". The L and apostrophe are a French equivalent of "the". So, writing "the L'Etranger" is the same as writing "the the Etranger". Sorry for the nitpick, but being fluent in French, this is an error that often frustrates me. --Szthesquid 19:10, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Knife

(Backstab: 450) The Knife deals more than 450 Dmg, it deals 6x of the enemys maximum healthpoints. This could be important, because Deadringer Spys sometimes can take more than 450 damage points. --Picard 08:18, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

You are correct, editted --Firestorm 01:21, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Another thing I noticed :D
"Ironically, the Spy is voiced by Dennis Bateman, the same VA as the Pyro, his second worst enemy."
Who is the Spys worst enemy? Because the Sniper isnt the worst Enemy of the Spy, but the Spy is the worst enemy of the Sniper. --Picard 21:32, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
I guess "Enemy" is referring to the one he hates the most. I don't like the line at all though. --Firestorm 21:33, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
"The Spy appears to have separate voices for BLU and RED as the RED Spy has a lower, raspier voice." Does he? Is this referring only to voices of the spies in Valve machinima? I had never noticed. --A Sassy Dog 15:01, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Removed until proof is provided -Firestorm 16:06, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
I did notice that the spy has two distinct intonations, but I don't think they're specific to team color. — Wind 16:26, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
The red spy does speak in a lower voice. In Meet the Spy you can tell the difference. Kevschow 01:38, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
Only in his 'Meet The...' video. In gameplay, there is no difference between the two teams. This tidbit is listed on the 'Meet The Spy' page, which I reckon is more appropriate than having it here. Alphard 15:12, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Name?

Is there any source of his name?--DCybertron 01:34, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Nope --Firestorm 01:34, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
His name is Philippe Lefebvre! Just watch OSS 117: Le Caire nid d'espions DWM91 18:11, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Meme

Should we mention the Gentlemen meme in trivia? Kevschow 01:41, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Revolvers

At point blank Revolver deals 60 damage, Ambassador 51 and L'Etranger 48. Checked 10/15/2010. --Onotole 00:54, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure what information you're trying to correct as those values are already listed (albeit as ranges) in the articles for each of those weapons. -RJ 01:32, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

Trivia

Regarding the current second to last trivia ("Before the Spy update..."): it ends with the statement '"As his voice lines are said in a calm collected manner, this gives him a split personality."' This seems rather like a stretch, but I'm new here and don't want to edit something out of existence based solely on my judgement (yet). Can someone else sound off on this or just jump in and delete it? Thanks. Scurve 07:05, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
