It doesn't seem like a true "Replica"
After looking at some of the images for the Oculus device, I found that they don't look exactly like they do in-game. Therefore, I can't say that the in-game item is supposed to replicate the real-world alternative. I've updated the description to reflect this, but I can still see what other people think. --Samuel Enthers 18:44, 19 March 2013 (PDT)
Styles?
After doing a bit of testing in Garry's Mod, I have found an unusual tidbit about the hat. The hat's model names are something like oculus_rift_(insert class here). However, there is a second variation. There is another set of models that are exactly the same, but the hat emits laser beams from the front. The names are oculus_rift_(insert class here)_on. Is this a second style that hasn't been added to the page yet, or did I just uncover a bit of cut content? Piwah 13:14, 21 March 2013 (PDT)
- I'm guessing an extra effect will be enabled if the user is actively using VR mode in-game. This is just speculation though - more info will be added once it's been confirmed. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 17:22, 21 March 2013 (PDT)
Thanks guys. I'm a Team Fortress Detective! May I acknowledge the unused content in the trivia section? Piwah 13:48, 22 March 2013 (PDT)
- Lol, using Garry's mod doesn't mean you specifically looked for the content. But you did help us out by telling us, so thank you for that. There's no need to edit anything, I already added in the info. --Samuel Enthers 17:01, 22 March 2013 (PDT)
