The Mann Co. Store is an in-game micro-transaction service included in the Mann-Conomy Update. The store allows players to purchase in-game items such as hats, weapons, and action items using money stored in their Steam Wallet. The store does not promote any 'pay-to-win' gameplay, but instead provides the players an alternate way of earning items instead of waiting for them to drop, crafting, or trading for them. Creators of community contributed items receive a percentage of sales for anything they've created.
Items bought from the Mann Co. store are not tradable or craftable.

Pricing
Prices vary greatly, with newer and rarer items priced higher than older and more common ones. As a rule of thumb, rare items cost five or more dollars while common items cost less than five. These prices preserve the values of crafted or dropped items. They're comparable to the costs paid for exclusive pre-order items such as the Lumbricus Lid or Max's Severed Head.

Halloween
Note: All items in the Halloween category (excluding the Cadaver's Cranium and the Horrific Headsplitter) are only available for purchase until November 8th.
Non-Purchasable Items
These items are not available for purchase but most are still available in-game through crafts, drops, special promotions, or trading. Items listed here may be completely unavailable because they were part of a special promotion or event that has passed and are not tradeable, such as the Golden Wrench and Gentle Manne's Service Medal.
Additional notes
- In an online interview, lead designer Robin Walker explained that nearly everything you can purchase at the Mann Co. Store was also available to find via drops or crafting. "Our main goal to make sure that all gameplay affecting items are findable, so that no-one can buy an in-game advantage over someone who’s choosing to find their items." [1]
- Items that are bought or given as a bonus from the store will be tagged as purchased (cannot be traded or crafted) or promotional (cannot be traded). Valve is currently in the process of testing the effects of trading and crafting these items and may remove these limitations in the future. Mann-Conomy FAQ
- Robin has confirmed that all items (except keys and gifts) that are available in the Mann-Co Store also have the chance to drop randomly in-game via the drop system. Source
- Items that are not craftable and only purchasable (or droppable) include the Keys, Secret Saxton, Pile o' Gifts, Paint Cans and Dueling Mini-Games. Plans to give any of these items a Blueprint have not been confirmed.
- Visiting the Mann Co. Store will also add any outstanding items to the player and it will resolve issues with items in invalid positions in the player's Backpack.
- Some people in certain regions have problems with purchasing things in Mann Co. Store. When this occurs and servers do not respond, it shows the message "The Game Coordinator reports about inside error" and will be fixed by VALVe as soon as possible.
