Hale uses the Soldier's Shovel animation without the Shovel and in first person the players see him as a regular Soldier with a Shovel. In the latest version of the VS Saxton Hale mod, occasionally the player on [[BLU]] may spawn as Vagineer (A popular TF2 Meme involving an Engineer with a distorted facial expression and speaks backwards) instead of Saxton Hale, though they do the same thing.

Game balance is not necessarily perfect. Hale's health formula (((250+i)*i)^1.12 ,i = players on RED team at round start) is not exactly perfect, but it works. Players using Natascha have it swapped for the Minigun due to it slowing down Saxton Hale too much. Weapons with no reload (e.g. Flamethrower) have their maximum ammo cut down from its normal maximum ammo. The mod also uses class limits so players do not spam one class (e.g. everyone playing as Pyro). All Melee weapons besides the [[Knife]] and [[Your Eternal Reward]] always Crit against Saxton Hale to make up for having to go into such a dangerous range.

Saxton Hale on communication

The VS Saxton Hale Mod is a Juggernaut style mod of Arena that pits the TF2 mercenaries on RED against the Mann Co. CEO, Saxton Hale on BLU.
