This article is about the fourth annual movie making contest. For other uses, see Saxxy (disambiguation).
The Fourth Annual Saxxy Awards is a Team Fortress 2 contest announced on July, 25, 2014. The event is based on that of the previous three years, the first annual, second annual and the third annual Saxxy awards.
The categories are "Best Comedy", "Best Action", "Best Drama", "Best Short" and "Best Overall". As with the last year, all entries needed to be made with Source Filmmaker, so no films from the Replay Editor could be accepted.
The Rules
- Entries must be no longer than 5 minutes, except for entries to the Short category, which can be no longer than 1 minute.
- Each entry must be at least 720p.
- Entries must be rendered using the Source Filmmaker, although those renders can be further edited with post-production tools for titling and other effects.
- Entries must be submitted using the Source Filmmaker's Submit Video to Saxxy Awards menu option.
- Only entries submitted between Sep. 17, 4:00 PM and Sep. 24, 4:00 PM PST will be considered. (between 00:01 Sep. 18 and 23:59 Sep. 24, GMT).
- Voting begins Sep. 24, and continues until Sep. 29
- Winners, selected by Valve from the community-chosen nominees, will be announced Oct. 1.
- All co-creators must be finalized by voting deadline to be considered.
- You are free to use any Valve IP (Intellectual Property).
- If you use any non-Valve IP, you must be the copyright owner or have explicit permission from the owner and include a URL to the included work or creator's online presence in the description of your entry. This includes music, character likeness, etc. Any submissions found to be infringing non-Valve IP will be disqualified.
- Multiple submissions per person are allowed.
- Submissions must be free of advertisements.
