Ze Goggles are a community-created headwear item for the Medic, appearing as a pair of chunky, military-spec night-vision goggles.
Trivia
- Ze Goggles' description is a reference to one of Ranier Wolfcastle's lines from The Simpsons' Season 7 episode "Radioactive Man", which has since developed into a meme. The line Radioactive man yells out when he is splashed by sulfuric acid is "My eyes! The goggles do nothing!".
- Ze Goggles are also a reference to the Ecto-Goggles (officially dubbed the "Paragoggles" in Ghostbusters: The Video Game) which appear in the Ghostbusters series, their name originally being 'The Ect-oh Goggles'[1]. This may be a reference to the fact that the Medic looks quite similar to Egon Spengler, and that the Medi Gun and backpack he wears bear a resemblance to the Neutrona Wand and Proton Pack respectively.
