This template is a list of companies and notable products identified by signs, advertisements, or other Team Fortress 2 content.
Usage
Column | Description | Example |
---|---|---|
Logo | Preferably, a PNG file of an image of the company logo or sign accurately representative of how it is found in official Team Fortress 2 content. For signs appearing in game maps, especially, these should be sourced from published Valve Texture Files or comparable sources rather than from screenshots. Such files should properly render any transparency effect. Image width should be set to 120px.
Example: |
|
Company (Products) |
When the name is provided or apparent, this cell should state the name of the company, typically literally stated on the sign. Any notable product or service may be listed in parentheses.
Example: |
Red Bread |
Properties (Signage) or other Appearances |
This cell contains a listing of maps where properties or signs for the company are seen as well as a listing of any Comics, Movies, or other content where the company makes an appearance. Multiple appearances may be listed, but different types of appearances should be on separate lines. Consider the case of Red Bread. Red Bread is presumed to be both the company's name and the name of the company's product. Red Bread is a Mann twins' property that is defended by RED at Granary, so that map is listed in the cell. However, advertising signage for Red Bread appears at several locations throughout Badlands where no property for that company is apparent; so, a selection of those maps may be listed within parentheses, but it is not necessary to list every such map. Moreover, Red Bread's status as a front for RED is firmly established with its appearance as RED team's base in Expiration Date. Also, Red Bread is referenced by the eponymous Red Bread (Soundtrack). Intentionally incomplete listings may be indicated with ellipses (...).
Example: |
Granary (Thunder Mountain, Hightower, ...) Expiration Date Red Bread (Soundtrack) |
Team tendency | This cell identifies any team the company is aligned with; that is, either as a known front or property or as signage that follows the team's coloration or cultural theme and so normally appears nearer that team's spawn. A few companies appear to have no known alignment (example, Jenkin Coal Co.).
Examples: BLU, RED, Gray Mann, None (no alignment, could be any), Unknown (not verified) |
RED |
Reference to... | This cell discusses references made by the company's name, product, or signage art. Several companies are paired opposites (e.g., Red Bread and Blue Corn Co.) and that may be noted here. This cell may state Unknown where no reference is known or recognized. Trivia rules broadly apply to this column (e.g., no unwarranted speculation). | Red wheat, the primary classification of bread wheat grown in United States and Soviet Union (now, Russia and Ukraine). (Paired with BLU Corn Co.) |
