Scamming is a big deal in everything. When you believe someone is scamming contact valve with the persons username and link, Tell them what happened wether you or a friend was scammed out of an item, and they'll sort it out as soon as possible.

Scammers mainly tend to newcomers or someone that's got a really rare item, or even someone that begs you to gamble items in a duel. Don't trust anyone that says to you:"Hey wanna duel with me I'll give you this Vintage Lugermorph if you win" some scammers happen to be hackers as well even in duels or normal games. Don't trust anyone with a VAC ban since most players with VAC bans were either hacking, scamming 24/7 or doing something else to hurt others within the community online. Scammers are around every corner, Make sure when trading that they don't take out the item that they are offering you for your item. If you use steam guard take it slow and check what they've moved/kept in the trade, you want to make sure they aren't pulling a slippery move on you.
