:::: I’m kind of confused by the “have very little info forever” and “just having an article with one sentence in it”. Like, I thought that pretty much all articles start off with having one sentence in them and then get fleshed out over the course of multiple edits. If anything, those reasons should be used to justify merging Valve and The Orange Box into other articles since people have had time to flesh out those articles but haven’t. Also, the reason why the OtherWikis template can’t be used is because there’s no other Wikis where a page about TeamFortress Software would make sense. --Ginger Jesus (talk) 23:19, 15 May 2023 (UTC)

::::: Most pages should be made in a user's sandbox first, reviewed, and then moved to the main space. Most of the time when a page is not made this way it is either deleted due to irrelevance, breaking some guidelines, or simply for not being discussed before. This page is an exception because I find it more productive to merge it than to outright delete it. The OtherWikis template is used for small few-sentence pages that aren't directly from the game (i.e. Valve or Counter-Strike) because they are better covered on other Wikis, seeing as the only other place covering this is an archived version of a web page it doesn't really fit for that. The pages like Valve and The Orange Box are only meant as a small explanation and how they're relevant to the game, but unlike those pages, this page would not have much linkage besides on the Team Fortress page so it might as well be merged with it.
GrampaSwood (talk) 07:30, 16 May 2023 (UTC)

I think this page has so little info and it's mainly relevant to Team Fortress (and already partially covered there), adding a section to that page instead and turning this into a redirect to that.

 • I mean, the plan was to add more info to this page over the course of multiple edits, not just keep it the way that it is. Also, the pages for Valve and The Orange Box remain despite having very little info. --Ginger Jesus (talk) 17:38, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
As with Valve and The Orange Box, this page will just have very little info forever. There aren't any other websites/wikis covering this topic either and considering the company hasn't existed for nearly 30 years now, there likely won't be so we can't apply the OtherWikis template like we did with the Valve and Orange Box pages. Having it as its own section on the Team Fortress page fits better due to its relevance to it and the lack of info available on other websites.

Pictogram plus.png I agree with Gramps, merging his article with the already existing Team Fortress is a better outcome than just having an article with one sentence in it. Moreover, in the TF article, the origins of TF as a mod is somewhat mentioned, so perhaps mentioning there what is already written here might improve the overall quality of the TF article.
