This template lists released Team Fortress 2 maps.

Default Sorting

Default sorting is the sorting of this table as it should appear any time it is opened.

There are three layers of sorting in this list; first by date order of release of the game mode, then alphabetically by map title within the game modes, and, finally, recently released maps (of any mode) set ins alphabetically order at the top of the group:

1. The first layer of general sorting is by game mode, from the earliest to most recent release date.

  • Note: later released Control Point variants are arranged in groups underneath the Control Point list.
  • This is the sorting demonstrated in Template:Map types (new game modes are added to the bottom of the Map types list).

2. The second layer of general sorting is by alphabetical order of map name within each game mode.

3. Newly-released maps from a recent Update are added to the top of the list, sorted in alphabetical order by the map name (rather than by file name).

  • This placement is for the convenience of users, editors, and reviewers.
  • The new maps may be kept at the top of the list through the duration of the Event or for at least a month, before they are sorted into the list.
