The Classless Update was released August 13, 2009, and marked the first non-class specific Pack Update. Rather than focus on the additions of new weapons and achievements, the update added new hats, game modes and maps, while also delivering a large number of minor edits and tweaking to already exsisting gameplay.

  • The Gentle Manne's Service Medal was the first item to be obtained through a hidden page. The only other item to be obtainable through this method would be the Ghastly Gibus during the Hallowe'en Update, which was later made available through an achievement.
  • To date, Sawmill is the only map to recieve the addition of 2 new map types, King of the Hill and Capture the Flag, in the same update.
