Elvis Trivia

This item is an Elvis reference. Here's my rationale. First Elvis was known for wearing flared bellbottom pants complete with the triangle shaped accents on the side like the ones on Flared Frontiersman. The item was originally called the "Bossman's Breeches" on the workshop page. There's an Elvis song called Big Boss Man. The workshop blurb for the Bossman's Breeches is "Who needs a pair of blue suede shoes when you got' these fancy flares?" with Blue Suede Shoes being another famous Elvis song. The actual model name for the cosmetic itself is jul13_king_pants.mdl which refers to Elvis as he was known as "The King of Rock n' Roll" or simply "The King". The item is part of a whole Elvis themed set called Rock 'n Roll legacy that included Pardner's Pompadour (which already mentions the Elvis trivia) and another item called The Rockin' Raiment that wasn't added into the game. The workshop page for the set has the blurb "Show those goons on 2fort who the real king of rock and roll is with this 3 piece item set!". The workshop page for Pardner's Pompadour (which is based on Elvis's hair and sunglasses) has the blurb "Come on spy, Don't be cruel" with Don't be Cruel being yet another famous Elvis song. The Rockin' Raiment which wasn't added into the game but was part of the original Elvis set is a cape and collar which is similar to those worn by Elvis when he performed live. The Rockin' Raiment has the workshop blurb that says "This stylish cape +collar combo wont leave you all shook up!" with All Shook Up once again being another famous Elvis song. Pictogram plus.png Agree I must say, though, without the connection made to the creator's set, the link to Elvis is lost. Can Engie's pants be painted white? It was the early 70s Vegas Elvis that had the white outfit, red flare inserts, red cape, and oversized brass buckle. These could be just any farm kid's homemade flares, but the brass buckle confirms the creator's intent.
The Brass Buckle was one of the founding stores of our Galleria when it was built in 1969.
