Why restore them? A few years ago, pretty much all names of items were changed, so all words are no longer capitalized like in the English language. I already created redirects with the correct names. Why leave the old ones? Now if someone would want to search them, there will be two identical results, with one using the old incorrect version. Hello, GrampaSwood!

Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
    • You can use the Signature Icon.png button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
  • If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.
    • When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User GrampaSwood to the file's name.
    • Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:GrampaSwood/ to the page title when you create the page.

Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Wiki!

Re: Festivizer images

Hi, you mentioned my uploads being lower quality, but you linked to the old image that I am replacing.

My images have not been succesfully cached yet. I have included an example of the image you are referring to that I uploaded a new version of.

My HLMV settings are set according to the guides in the help section, and I do have 8x antialiasing on via nvidia settings. I did, however, downscale some of these a little, and may need to try and retake some if this is still not considered an improvement over the inaccurate, low-quality prior images.

I compared the older upload, your newer upload, and the other Rocket Launcher upload. They may not have been cached on your end yet, but I had the right images on mine. Try CTRL + F5 on the image if it doesn't show up properly.
The downscaling likely ruined the image, so I advise to not do that for any image.

Downscaling manually via an image manipulation program will cause either bluriness or choppy-looking edges. If you would like to downscale, it's ideal to do that on HLMV itself, by zooming out a little. I see it now, you're right, I needed to refresh the cache. I'll see about potentially fixing it later.

Restored redirects

Why restore them? A few years ago, pretty much all names of items were changed, so all words are no longer capitalized like in the English language. I already created redirects with the correct names. Why leave the old ones? Now if someone would want to search them, there will be two identical results, with one using the old incorrect version.
