Basically it just gives a few helpful links straight away, it's not really meant to replace the navbox with all the class articles at the bottom. I'm thinking a few other links could be added as well? What does everyone think? Weapon capitalisation
For the sake of correctness, I vote that I be allowed to capitalise the names of in-game items which are incorrectly lower case. For example, the Scotsman's Skullcutter, the Pain Train and the Direct Hit (though pretty much every name is hit by it) Doing this would make them better match the in-game names. - No. We've done the capitailzation to keep the wiki style. It doesn't really matter. -- Smashman... (t • s) 14:15, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- Following a consultation with everyone, this policy has changed. The style guide has been updated to reflect this. -- Pilk (talk) 10:38, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
Valve Wiki Network Images
The images should link to the sites themselves rather than simply to the image, makes it easier to get to them. Also the Team Fortress 2 Wiki image should not have any link at all. --Firestorm 23:09, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, yes and yep. Easy to do. It's saved at Template:VWN make sure the Team Fortress Wiki text is bolded though. Smashman 23:13, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
Shortened Name?
I think when referencing the Wiki's name we should call it OTF Wiki or TF Wiki, as the entire name can be quite cumbersome. I am also lead to believe there's a shortened name property in the MediaWiki settings, but I may be wrong. Any suggestions? Smashman 23:20, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
- I'm just a member who registered like 5 minutes ago, but I think the best shortened name would be TF Wiki or even TFW... Blue Kleiner 00:44, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
- That's fine. New members are welcome and their opinions too. I think TF Wiki would be good. We're combining the Team Fortress Wiki about TFC as well, that's good. -- Smashman... (t • s) 00:47, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
This wiki rising on Google.
If you google "TF2 Wiki", this wiki is now 6th on the list. We're doing well guys. Give it a month, I think we're going to manage it. -- Smashman... (t • s) 14:02, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
- Interesting, if you google TF2Wiki (no space), we're 4th. - Firestorm 02:11, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
2 Misc Slots
I dont know if anyone noticed, but since the Engineer update came off, there as been another misc slot called "misc 2" to all classes. And yes, there is no item to use it with (at least that i own). I tried to equip medal+ earbuds but there wasn't any item. I wonder if this has something to do with the Polycount Pack contest.
New template to help new players
I made a new template I think would help quite a bit if it was placed at the top of some of the Class articles.
Basically it just gives a few helpful links straight away, it's not really meant to replace the navbox with all the class articles at the bottom. I'm thinking a few other links could be added as well? What does everyone think? Seb26 05:38, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
