Another promo hat, another unused paint texture

Valve, you crazy bastard Balladofwindfishes 23:48, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

Wouldn't it be 'bastards' since there is more than one of them, or are you referring to Valve as one person? Leaderboard class soldier.pngJust a Gigolo - (talk) 23:53, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
No, no, I'm certain that Valve is an entity. SilverHammer 11:08, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
Valve is probably just a giant bot and the staff members are robots that are run by Glados and robin is a bot and gabe newell is the only human. THE3STOOGES 02:33, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

Misc.

This item would have been better if it were misc. - Nukor 01:26, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Too bad, they're in the hat slot. This is a wiki, not a forum, take that complaint elsewhere. -- Psychopath User Psychopath avatar.png 01:28, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
It'd make a nice misc if it weren't for the clipping it's suffer from almost every hat. It's a shame, it'd go well with the Tosslecap under better circumstances. SilverHammer 11:11, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Trivia

Thought about adding this line of trivia, thought I'd get opinions first. I'm not totally sure it's in line with the guidelines, and wanted a few opinions.

  • Currently, this hat is the only hat that removes the Scout's default cap while maintaining his headset. This was likely a stylistic choice.

SIMILARLY,

  • Currently, this hat is the only hat that removes the Scout's default cap while maintaining his headset. This was likely a stylistic choice. Due his short hair and headset, wearing this hat causes the Scout to bear resemblance to Beat, the main character of the Dreamcast game, Jet Grind Radio, and the sequel, Jet Set Radio Future.

Here's an article on Beat for reference.

The Cheater's Lament also removes only the cap, but keeps the headset. On top of that, this would by x of y trivia, which is not allowed. -- Killicon train.png Hefaistus - talk 11:19, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
It does? Well that's awkward, it must clip through them! Aaand, I figured as much. Well everything up there is void, then. Thanks for the replay Hefaistus. SilverHammer 11:27, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

I'm confused with these new model pictures, so it does remove the headset? They looked so much better with them left on. If only they could add another option to be able to toggle them.--Arizone 02:19, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

Looks like it. The headset also isn't there when you look at the promotional images. -- Killicon train.png Hefaistus - talk 10:21, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

Moor trivia

I think there should be 'Planeswalker' word's description, huh? flutterravie Talk Contribs 11:13, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Wiki Link?

I am not sure whether we should make Chandra Nalaar a wikipedia link. PlausibleSarge 19:11, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Cleaned up

Hey guys, I cleaned up this page, and the Planeswalker Helm page. Hopefully I've struck the right balance between removing spurious information, and answering "What the hell is a planeswalker?".Rebmcr 22:09, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

You removed relevant information, like that of Jaya Ballard's and your trivia is incorrect. I take it you don't play the card game and are unfamiliar with the storylines? -Object404 03:59, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
I removed irrelevant information after coming to a consensus with admins on the IRC channel. Jaya does not have anything to do with Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012, which this promotion is directly related to. Only what is necessary for a good Team Fortress 2 article is what is needed here - it's not a contest to see how much extra we can fit in about MTG. FYI, I have been playing for over 10 years and am a DCI judge, which is how I know that the Jaya character has been abandoned since 2007. Rebmcr 10:46, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
Cool beans. You're still wrong. Chandra isn't always seen wearing her goggles. Here's one example: EN_MTG_JOU_Comic7_Pt1_8.jpg Jaya is still part of the lore of the setting and Chandra takes the goggles tradition from her. Magic player for over 16 years. I think it's important to mention the nature of Chandra and red magic (chaos) to explain why the goggles were given to the scout instead of the Pyro. -Object404 11:49, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
There's a discussion in the IRC about this right now. Feel free to drop in :¬) Rebmcr 11:52, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

These items don't have descriptions in the Mann co catalog

Just saying, they don't actually have the same descriptions as the schema in-game. They don't have any description at all. Balladofwindfishes 00:21, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

"the RED planeswalker breaks into the BLU team's base, runs off with the intelligence and..."

I'm sorry, but who thought that was a good idea? Where did this come from? maggosh 14:40, 9 June 2011 (UTC)

New Picture?

Now that the Goggles DONT remove headgear, am I the only one thinking that we need a new picture, one of a Scout with goggles AND headgear? Shauny7488 04:02, 28 June 2011 (PDT)
