Grockets appear in 3 maps; 2Fort, Badwater Basin and Barnblitz. They have the appearance of crash-landed rockets with smoke and flames billowing out.
The Grockets were added to the game in the July 18, 2011 Patch.
Gabe Newell confirmed at 5AM on July 18th, in an interview with Gamespy that the grocket was the first step in developing TF2 in to a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game (MMORPG).
The new game is thought to based off Blizzards World of Starcraft, including many features such as backpacks and boss fights.
