Lumberjack/Clearcutter
I added the text "Alternatively you could try your luck in a melee server" to both but it got deleted previously. Why? Lordfa9 20:14, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
- I looked through the page history. You're asking this 4 months after I finished revising all of the "Obtaining achievements" pages. Anyway, I'll try to remember...These pages are supposed to give tips or descriptions that pertain to vanilla conditions on vanilla servers - a melee only server, while fun, requires everyone to cooperate or a server mod. With the Pyro's dominance at close range combat, especially with the Axtinguisher, why force him to only use the Axe anyway, especially when someone is bound to pick Heavy and go Balrog on everyone? -- InShane 02:18, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
I was just looking over this page, and it struck me: "Why does it not say to play medieval mode?" It's an official gamemode, if that's the problem, and that sort of setup works just perfectly. I may want to wait for a response, but I'm going to add "Alternatively, play on a Medieval Mode server, where melee kills are very common." Bro1017 19:58, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- Seeing as almost everyone is using melee kills in Medieval Mode, with more powerful weapons than the Pyro's weapons, It might actually be hard to get 6 kills in a row without dying, but seeing as it depends on skill, I'll keep it up. - nixshadow • t|c 20:03, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
Carrying buildings
If anyone can confirm whether or not destroying buildings while an engineer is carrying it counts towards the Arsonist achievement, that would be great! Tribor 04:08, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
Grammar/redundancy
Stop making the changes to grammar that I've fixed. The reason that I changed it to "him or her" is because it is in reference to players, not the classes themselves. Furthermore, the links that I added are to make it easier for people who want to navigate directly to the achievement that they are having trouble with instead of reading the article from the beginning. --LordKelvin 01:40, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- I'm really gonna have to apologize for earlier; I shouldn't have gone through everything so quickly. Anyway, my argument is that most of the sentences refer to the classes themselves, rather than the players behind them. Since the classes are all male (besides Pyro), they should be referred to as such. I know where you're coming from, so I guess we'll just let it be. But, uh, argh, I need to not do grammar fixes at the same time as article edits. Would you be fine if I reinstated the other stuff I did? InShane 01:46, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- Some of the stuff that I added was already a part of the article since before the move to the Official Wiki, I have no idea why some of it was removed. Removing some blatantly redundant stuff is fine, but my position is that more information regarding how to obtain an achievement is better than less. --LordKelvin 01:49, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, I guess we're opposites there. I'll do my best to keep as much information as possible while shuffling through the achievements for the other classes. InShane 01:56, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Pyromancer with an axe?
Does the fire damage from the Sharpened Volcano Fragment count towards the Pyromancer achievement? The Seabear 01:14, 8 November 2011 (PST)
- The damage from the melee swing itself does not, but the afterburn it causes does. SS2R 02:37, 8 November 2011 (PST)
