Ze Goggles are an unlockable hat for the Medic, appearing as a pair of chunky, military-spec night vision goggles.
Trivia
- Ze Goggles have a special description which reads 'Nothing'. This is a reference to one of Ranier Wolfcastle's lines from The Simpsons' Season 7 episode "Radioactive Man", which has since developed into a meme. This makes Ze Goggles the first hat that can be obtained by the drop system to have a unique description. The other headwear items that have a unique item description are the Earbuds, the Ghastly Gibus, and Max's Severed Head.
- Ze Goggles hold even more of a reference to the Ecto-Goggles(officially dubbed the "Paragoggles" in Ghostbusters: The Video Game) which appear in the Ghostbusters series, their name originally being 'The Ect-oh Goggles'. This may be a reference to the fact that the Medic looks quite similar to Egon Spengler, and that the Medigun and backpack he wears bear a resemblance to the Neutrona Wand and Proton Pack.
- Ze Goggles' name is also a reference to the Medic's German accent making his words sound different, such as "Ze" instead of "the".
