Media license
Hi there. Regarding your recent audio file upload, could you please attach a relevant license to it? You can find a list of licenses here. If you recorded the audio yourself, consider attaching one of the "Free content" licenses or releasing the content into the public domain. Thanks. i-ghost 12:33, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up - do I need to re-upload the audio file to attach a license to it? I can't seem to find an option to edit the description. Cooper Kid 12:46, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
- You can attach a license by editing the 'page' of the file as you would edit any other page, then type out one of the licenses. So for instance if you wanted to add the Creative Commons (self) license, you would add {{CC|by-3.0|self}} underneath where you previously wrote "Audio pronunciation of ClaidheamhMòr." If you have any trouble with this, don't hesitate to ask. i-ghost 12:51, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
- Done, thanks again! Cooper Kid 12:59, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
- Any time :) And good job, I'll add. i-ghost 12:58, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
- Done, thanks again! Cooper Kid 12:59, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

- Sure, thanks for the heads up. Turns out I just had to reload the page, the images are all right now. Cooper Kid (Blether)·(Contreebs) 20:20, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
About the Spy references...
I think I found the line for Churchill... It's the 7th one down on the list. 6th page, I think. http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/w/winston_churchill_6.html Reduxist 19:43, 21 July 2011 (PDT)
- You, my friend, are a genius. Well spotted! Feel free to add it to the page - it's only fair that you get the edit. » Cooper Kid (Blether · Contreebs) 20:04, 21 July 2011 (PDT)

Apology
I am sorry for the revision. I had not known that it was impossible to have a decreaser that was strange, and forgot to check the history before editing. I hope that a edit war doesn't start do to this, and take full responsibility if it does.

- Don't worry about it, no harm was done. Just remember, your edits will never be undone without a good reason! » Cooper Kid (blether·contreebs) 18:01, 29 August 2011 (PDT)
Userboxes
You've made some pretty damn good hat-related userboxes, correct? Can you check mine out here? Fyahweather 19:34, 16 September 2011 (PDT)
- Now that there is a fine piece 'a work. Are you going to add them to the public userboxes page? » Cooper Kid (blether·contreebs) 04:17, 17 September 2011 (PDT)
- Was thinking about it, but how? Fyahweather 07:57, 17 September 2011 (PDT)
- First, you need to make a seperate template page for each one, for example: Template:User Bombing Run
- Was thinking about it, but how? Fyahweather 07:57, 17 September 2011 (PDT)
- Just copy and paste the code for the userbox onto its respective page. Then, to display the box on the public userboxes page, just add the preview code, which in this example would be
{{Userbox_preview|UIB=User Bombing Run}}
Simple as that. This makes it easier to display the boxes on your own page too. Instead of having the whole code, you can just use the template:{{User Bombing Run}}
- Just copy and paste the code for the userbox onto its respective page. Then, to display the box on the public userboxes page, just add the preview code, which in this example would be
- One minor thing first though; a couple of your boxes are slightly taller than they should be, which will look messy if you make them public. It's just the pictures making that happen, you might be better using images just showing the hats rather than the whole Scout. It's kind of annoying that they have to be so small, I've had issues there too. You should also try to keep the font size the same as the other userboxes - though this isn't quite as important and a few do have slightly bigger text. » Cooper Kid (blether·contreebs) 08:19, 17 September 2011 (PDT)
- Huh, I thought all of mine were the same size. Alright then, thanks! Fyahweather 09:20, 17 September 2011 (PDT)
- Say, Cooper, how about an alliance? It's going to take me some time to finish these userboxes at my rate, so could you give me a hand? You know, you could just do Demoman and Sniper hats or something, while I would take Soldier and Engineer hats. Fyahweather 09:38, 17 September 2011 (PDT)
- I've already done a few hats and stuff, they're right this way. As it is I'm kind of out of inspiration for any more, but maybe I'll have another go at some tonight. But I don't think it's necessary to just "do" every hat - userboxes don't exactly add much to the Wiki and they're not worth spending too much time on. » Cooper Kid (blether·contreebs) 10:57, 17 September 2011 (PDT)

Your template category
Is it meant to be that this template adds people to "idiots" category as it does now? -- Keisari 06:00, 2 October 2011 (PDT)
- Indeed it is not. Thanks for pointing it out, I've fixed it now! » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 08:43, 2 October 2011 (PDT)

Hat of the month
the texa's slims dome shine has been the hat of the month for quite a while, and I was wondering if it's going to change.Mpnov 18:31, 10 November 2011 (PST)
- There's currently no user designated as in charge of changing the "Hat of the Month" - that's something we've been discussing for a while, both on the Hats talk page and the Hat of the Month talk page. No-one's reached a verdict yet, but if you add your worth to the discussions it might help speed things up a bit. I do intend to change it myself if no-one comes to a decision in a couple of days' time - I have a program which randomly selects a hat each month which I can use to decide. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 19:49, 10 November 2011 (PST)

Curious person is curious
Just wonderin', why'd you use (my) edited "discussion close" template on the "heart" discussion? :P —Rocket Ship BBQ(•) 22:58, 3 December 2011 (PST)
- Eh... I was in a hurry and couldn't find the real template XD » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 03:58, 4 December 2011 (PST)
- Oh, I felt special for a second, haha. —Rocket Ship BBQ(•) 09:55, 4 December 2011 (PST)
Crafting recipes
I am not sure what kind of entry it would have in {{avail}}
. In most cases the link to Crafting seems more relevant than that page. Were you thinking of a link like 'Random craft' or similar? seb26 13:31, 10 December 2011 (PST)
- Something like that - a parameter which adds the "Craft" text as usual, but links to the Random crafting recipes page instead. And only for those hats which can only be crafted using those recipes, i.e. none of the Ploycount hats or the Bonk Helm. It's just because I've seen quite a few people who use the Wiki to try and find crafting recipes for a hat they like, and clicking that link in the item infobox but being confused when they can't find the hat listed on the Crafting page. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 13:58, 10 December 2011 (PST)
Right, sorry about that :P.
I keep forgetting to press the "Show preview" button, sorry about the constant user page changes, I thought it wont show up in the recent changes because its my user page and its suppose to be private or something'. Also sorry I did not reply to your previous message, I did not know how to reply to you, now I know, so as you can probably guess by now being part of the wiki community is all so new to me and I'm just very confused at most times.
again sorry for the constant page changes. Wish you a Merry Christmas!

- No need to apologise, everyone's been where you are! It does take a while to learn all the ins and outs around the Wiki. Heck, I was making 20 edits a minute to my userpage before I realised that was frowned upon. It's a good idea to use the minor edit checkbox when editing your userpage, as that filters those edits out of a lot of searches.
- On another note (and sorry if it seems like I'm hassling you, I'm not!) the image in your signiature is just a tad too big - the maximum recommended size for sig images is 19px high or it tends to mess up the line spacing around it. Hit me up if you need any help amending that.
- Have a great Christmas! » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 02:22, 25 December 2011 (PST)
Okay, I dont know how to make the image hight smaller, so yeah... could you help me out? :p Shrapnel 09:21, 25 December 2011 (PST)
- Haha sure thing =) You just need to add a size parameter to your code. You can make the image link to another page as well:
[[File:Killicon_half-zatoichi.png|x19px|link=?????]]
Replace the ????? with a page name if you want the image to link to your talk page or something. There are more parameters to play around with here if you're interested.
