  • Category:Images contains every existing image category for use. If an appropriate category does not exist, create it!
  • After reading Team Fortress Wiki:Licensing images, if you still aren't sure what license applies to this image, select "I don't know what the license for this file is."

Is your file...

  • a screenshot? – if the image is a screenshot of the game, regardless of what appears in it, or who took it, use the screenshot license.
    • a screenshot from the Model Viewer? – images of models must also use the screenshot license.
  • an artwork? – this includes images from the Official Blog, comics, drawings, concept art, or other Valve imagery of the game.
  • an audio file? – all audio responses, music or other sound effects from the game itself must use the audio license.
  • extracted from the game? – this includes official backpack icons, low-resolution achievement icons, or other imagery that has been extracted from the game's .GCF cache files.
  • an item name image? – all item name images must use the public domain license, as they are ineligible for copyright.
