Revision as of 01:07, 16 April 2012
A bug listing states: "If you switch to the Degreaser right after having shot a flare, the Flare Gun won't be able to shoot immediately. It takes as much time as it would take to reload the Flare Gun, though no animation whatsoever is played during this span of time." I may be misunderstanding what is being said, but in my experience the bug refers to the Degreaser not being able to fire for a brief period of time following the switch, not the flaregun. Unnecessairy blueprints
Did not get a respond on the Crafting Talk Page, so I'll try it here: Why is the Token + Token + Scrap blueprint 'unnecesaariy' while it is for weapons that have multiple? Kazzymodus 15:11, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- Because we only list them on weapons that have a specific blueprint, where you can use the token blueprint because it saves weapons. It is not necessary to list them on every single weapons page because ALL of them can be crafted using the tokens method, so it's redundant. —Moussekateer·talk 15:27, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- Then why does Your Eternal Reward have one?? Kazzymodus 21:24, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- I thought I'd explained why. YER has a blueprint. The blueprint using tokens uses less weapons, so we showed that blueprint to allow the reader to make the better choice. It is not needed on all weapon pages because all (non-promo) weapons can be crafted from the tokens blueprint, so the recipe is redundant because they can just look at the crafting article. —Moussekateer·talk 22:00, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
- What is this I don't even about the Token Blueprint for the YER costing less (8) then the reclaimed blueprint (7)? And by the way, I'm only posting Token Blueprints that are limited to one weapon (Wrangler, Flaregun, Kritzkrieg and Frontier Justice). Kazzymodus 17:02, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- The current consensus seems to be that we only need token blueprints for weapons where it is a more viable option. Of course, it could also be for those weapon not unlockable through achievements. So we probably do not need token blueprints for those examples you provided?--Focusknock 19:41, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- True, but achievement weapons are sole and getting those specific weapons through the drop system is rare, so why not? And once again, why does YER have a token blueprint if it is not more viable than the reclaimed one? Kazzymodus 15:20, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Flare Gun Jump
Has anyone heard anything about an alt-fire Flare gun jump? I've had a few people coming to me saying it's being implemented. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, does anyone ahve a source on where this idea is coming from?--MEDUNN 12:41, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- The jump is only for the Beta weapon the Detonator. The regular Flare Gun remains unchanged.--Focusknock 15:51, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for the clarification. So just to be clear Valve hasn't announced any changes to the standard Flare gun and the reports of it being modified are false?--MEDUNN 16:05, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- That is correct.--Focusknock 16:07, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Mystical Flare Gun Ability
The afterburn of a flare projectile can harm a Scout under the effect of Bonk! Atomic Punch. <- evidence? I don't trust this, but cant play this month tf2 actively, so someone prove it or i will delete it. Video evidence!! NoWhereMan(DSvY) "Ich machen liebe Lannnnng" 16:23, 12 February 2011 (UTC) It fire hurts a scout under Bonk! if he drinks it after being set on fire. Pierow 00:03, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
New Quote
So the current quote for the page, the Soldier s'more quote, is now being used on the Connoisseur's Cap. The quote fits the hat much more than this gun. So I'm going to look for a new quote to use. I would really appreciate it if you guys could look for a new quote too to use. Fate Soul Blake 18:42, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- Seeing as how it fits a lot better on the Connoisseur's Cap, I agree. Just a Gigolo - (talk) 19:55, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think it fits the Cap, as the quote is geared more towards weaponry, so I'm inclined to disagree. maggosh 19:57, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- Agree (with hat) --Mar 19:58, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- You can't cook s'mores with a flare gun. That's just common knowledge. Just a Gigolo - (talk) 20:02, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- Neither can you cook s'mores with a hat. Unless it's on fire, which the Flare Gun provides. maggosh 20:04, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

- However, Lighting campfires with a flaregun is a normal thing to do, on which people make s'mores. - nixshadow 20:07, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- Flareguns are only supposed to be used in life and death emergencies, not in s'more making. Just a Gigolo - (talk) 20:08, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- Lighting a campfire with a flare is pretty dangerous. Frankly, you can't use a flare gun or a hat to cook a s'more, but the hat is a chef's hat and therefore directly linked to cooking. --Mar 20:09, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- S'mores aren't haute cuisine, as I already stated. If the Pyro had a camp hat, it would work. maggosh 20:10, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- But Pyro is crazy and she thinks it is. – Ohyeahcrucz [T][C] 20:11, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- It's a chef's hat, so the pyro is male in this case. Just a Gigolo - (talk) 20:12, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, because all chefs are male. Flawless logic. maggosh 20:13, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- Women can be chefs. But that's neither here nor there. Regardless of if it's haute cuisine or not, this is the only quote about cooking that I am aware of. --Mar 20:14, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- So you haven't looked. maggosh 20:15, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- We need a new quote for this page. It's more fitting in the chef hat. – Ohyeahcrucz [T][C] 20:17, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

If you guys spend any more time on this nonsense I'll just remove the quotes from both pages. --Piemanmoo 20:16, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- Leave it on the Chef's Hat page and remove from this one. – Ohyeahcrucz [T][C] 20:17, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

Reload type
This and all of the sniper rifles all had "single" as their reload type. I don't see a clip count on the HUD, changed it to No Reload. Manta 00:37, 19 September 2011 (PDT)
- The weapons do reload though, although it's kind of automatic. "No Reload" implies the weapon can be continuously fired, but that's obviously not the case. The Minigun is an accurate example of No reload, as the Heavy never takes the time to put new ammo in it. - nixshadow (t|c) 00:42, 19 September 2011 (PDT)
- But it CAN be continuously fired. The reload animation is just an animation, you don't have to watch it (switching away and switching back still lets you fire), there's no magazine the flares get loaded into, unlike say, the crusader's crossbow, which you need to watch the reload animation in full before you can fire again. Definitely no reload by the way it's actually coded. Manta 01:07, 19 September 2011 (PDT)
