#REDIRECT [[Exploits]]

Valve has disabled friendly fire for TF2, thus Team Killing is imposssible under normal circumstances, however Griefers have been known to use unique glitches known as Exploits to kill teammates.

Soldier

·For a brief period there was a glitch involving the Cow Mangler 5000 that allowed players to laser their own teammates. This has since been patched.

Pyro

·A player was able to Team Kill by selecting the RED Pyro (the BLU Pyro apparently couldn't do this). A player could shoot flames at a teammate and then join spectator while still firing. The particles would become neutral and light the teammate on fire. The backburner apparently caused the most damage. This has since been patched for the PC; however it is still possible to do so on console versions of the game.

Engineer

·Players can build teleporters that lead to locations that cause instant death (such as areas that kill players via "clumsy, painful death" ). Teammates that use said teleporters die instantly upon teleportation. A slower and much more frustrating (or entertaining from the Griefers' point of view) method involves building teleporter traps in underwater areas (such as the sewers in 2Fort or Well) that would cause unfortunate teammates to become trapped and drown.

Demoman

·Players could fire their grenade "pipe bombs" and if the player joined spectator before they exploded, nearby teammates and friendly buildings would be damaged and/or killed. This has since been patched.

General

·Players could shoot the Pumpkin Bombs found on many Halloween-themed maps (such as Mann Manor) to injure nearby teammates. This has since been patched.

·Players can shove teammates off ledges, causing them to take damage and/or perish.
